Fit Review Friday! Alo Yoga Foxy Sherpa Jacket in Pale Mauve!

Happy Friday!!! I don't know why I'm super excited for the weekend, I guess it's been a long week for me.  Do you guys remember when I reviewed this jacket last year in dove gray? I ended up returning it and to be honest it was one of those jackets I kept thinking about. So when I saw Alo Yoga decided to release it in pale mauve this year, I just had to try it again.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically a size 4 in Lululemon tops.

I'm wearing size XS and while it's still a generous fit, I am kind of digging the look, maybe because the oversized look is very in this year. In the photos, the bottom band doesn't quite lay smooth, and that's because I didn't realize I didn't pull the jacket up to flatten it out. I didn't have time to retake the photos. You can see it looks fine on the dove gray

The hood is removable, but realize I never actually removed the hood when I had the dove gray color. So here are some pics. I don't think there are many pictures out there showing the jacket without the hood. I definitely think the hood adds to the cute factor but the flaps were the main reason I had returned the dove gray. For whatever reason, the flaps do not bother me as much in the pale mauve color! I think it's because I'm a sucker for pink. 😂

The price is still the same as last year at $188. I do expect Alo Yoga to have another friends & family sale next month with a 30% off coupon. I know size XS usually sells out fast, so I didn't want to chance missing out on this pretty pink color.

The sherpa is soft, but not super soft. This is a very high quality jacket that is better quality than Athleta's Tugga Sherpa jacket I bought last year. I guess you do get what you pay for. Athleta's jacket is $128. Plus the Foxy Sherpa Jacket matches my pink Balenciaga bag! I definitely feel pretty in pink. (Sorry couldn't help myself there.)

What do you all think? Which camp are you in? Return it! Or it definitely looks better in pink? That's it for me. Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

  1. Thank you for this review! I was torn between dove grey and pale mauve and your post made my decision :)

Definitely pale mauve is the colour!

  2. I think it looks more like it is wearing you than you are wearing it. (Sorry)

Best clothes enhance your beauty rather than overwhelm it.

  3. The jacket does look a bit big on you but hey, if you feel pretty in it, then definitely keep it! You wear something that makes you happy and not others!

    1. Thanks Jenny! My BFF has it in camel and she looks amazing in it, but she's also 10 inches taller than me so everything looks fantastic on her.

  5. That color is so cute and makes you look like a pink teddy! I have a baby pink sherpa jacket too from UO so it's less fancy but I wore it all the time last winter bc it was so warm yet fashionable. I love the look!Especially with that handbag

    1. LOL pink teddy! Thanks I'll take it. =D It's definitely a trendy jacket, but it is very warm. At least it is good for winter here.

  6. Love this jacket on you. I just came across your blog and I like your blog and how detailed your reviews are. I’m also petite person like you. Any more jackets/coats recommendations for fall/winter?? Looking forward to your new posts.

    1. Hi! Thanks for coming by, I am looking for a new winter coat this year, and I'm leaning towards keeping this one. I was also browsing Patagonia for a down jacket but haven't tried it yet. I usually like Lululemon for winter coats as well, but so far this year I haven't seen one that I like, but it's still early so I will wait for new coats to be released.

  7. Adorable!! Have you washed or dry cleaned it yet? How does it look post wash?

    1. Thanks! I actually ended up returning it. As much as I loved the pink, decided it was too teddy bear for me.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
