Fit Review! Athleta Recover Hoodie and Tugga Sherpa Jacket & Friends & Family!

Athleta is having their Friends & Family sale. It ends today and it definitely jump started my fall shopping! These two items were on my fall wish list. Before I get into it, just want to remind you that tomorrow is the last chance to enter my giveaway. I'll close it out tomorrow night and will announce the winner Tuesday! Good luck everybody! 😀

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically a size 4 in Lululemon. This translates to size PXS or XS in Athleta.

I have to say, this hoodie is my favorite one from Athleta. The color smoked almond brown is so pretty. It's a little darker in person than what shows on the photo, but I was not disappointed. The first thing I noticed was how well made this hoodie is. Even the drawstrings for the hood was high quality.

I'm wearing size XS and I think the length is quite petite friendly. It hits right at the hip and the fit is very generous. The sleeve length is quite long but given how I'm okay with the oversized look, I like that it is comfortable. The fabric is medium weight and very soft. It also drapes nicely.

This hoodie has kangaroo pockets which I haven't had since childhood, but I do like the added secure zipper pockets. That makes a lot more sense in this day and age. The hood itself is a nice size. It's not overly huge which I like. I think it fits quite nicely.

The one thing I wasn't crazy about is how you can feel the inside seam stitching on the arms. It does feel a little rougher and slightly scratchy. If you're sensitive to that, I would not recommend this hoodie. I don't feel it on the body, but it's definitely there on the arms. Other than that one issue, this hoodie is amazing. If Athleta releases this in more colors, I would definitely purchase a second one. The black color looks really luxe, but I try and stay away from black as much as possible because of my kitties.

Next up we have the Tugga Sherpa Jacket in bali green. I purchased this jacket last year in the natural color and loved it so much I decided to order the bali green since it looked so plush in the photos. The color itself is very pretty. The sherpa though doesn't look as soft and plush in person though. I think the natural color looks better.

Size wise, I have tried the PXS in this jacket as well as the XXS. I found both to be too short and cropped. For me I think size XS works best with my height and frame. If you missed out on this last year, you have your second chance!

This jacket isn't lined, so the inside is the same as the outside. It does keep you very warm though. I basically wore mine through most of the Atlanta winter, which I admit doesn't stay very cold for long but it does reach freezing temps. The sherpa itself is very soft. I'm actually debating if I want to get the longer version of this jacket if they re-release it. I tried it on last year but didn't pull the trigger. If you're curious the XXS fit the best, since it is very oversized.

That's it for me! I'm also eyeing these from Athleta too. With the F&F sale going on, I just might try a few more items. Happy Shopping!

    1. Yes agreed with you on the long ribbed cuffs, I am not sure why Athleta loves the long ribbed cuffs. It can be a bit awkward!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Review! Balenciaga Rodeo Bag Size Small Plus Video

You all know I love my bags, and as a Balenciaga collector, I don't often stray from the City and First style. The Rodeo (pronounced like Rodeo Drive) really caught my eye. It gives off a slouchy Hermes Kelly vibe, but way more practical to use.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall. Balenciaga Rodeo Bag Small The Rodeo can be carried a few ways. It comes with a crossbody strap that is not adjustable but it is removable. Not sure why anyone wouldn't add a few extra holes to make a strap adjustable these days. Come on Balenciaga! Do better! The top handle is a bit too long for this to work anyhow, I feel like the top handle gets in the way. It sticks out and doesn't sit well in my opinion. I wouldn't carry this bag crossbody unless it was an unforeseen emergency and I really needed my hands free. This bag looks more chic carried by the handle or crook of the arm. It also looks nice left open with the help of the flap tucked in. The Rodeo resembles the Kelly bag ...

Review! Lululemon's Large Everywhere Belt Bag Size Comparison Plus Video!

Happy Friday! I can't believe it's almost Halloween! I actually have a dentist appointment on Halloween. One of my molars chipped and needs to be filled in. It's a tiny chip that I didn't even notice until my dentist pointed it out to me during my last visit. I'm not looking forward to it at all since I will need local anesthesia. Anyway, today I have a belt bag size comparison review for you all! For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.
