1000th Post Giveaway & Guest Review- Beyond The Studio Jacket, Align Crop 23 in Diamond Dye Graphite Gray Pink Pastel

I hope everyone is having a nice relaxing weekend and enjoying the extra day off if you're in the States. I've reached my 1000th blog post and I'm giving away a $100 Lululemon gift card to one lucky reader.  I wish I could give away $1000 but I'm not made of that kind of money. 😂 At least not yet! All I ask is for you to follow me on Instagram and comment on my 1000th blog post. You can unfollow me after the winner is announced. This is so I can send a direct message to the winner. That's all you have to do! I'm going to close it out on Monday the 14th and will contact the winner on Tuesday. Good luck! Thank you for sticking around and visiting my blog. 😊

Now onto a Guest Review from Andrea!

"The Align Crop 23” in Diamond Dye Graphite Grey Pink Pastel fits big overall, and the hem is loose on me.  Looks like I need to go down at least one size, which I never did for my Align Crops 21” or my only pair of Align Pant 25”.

I’m placing my Align Crop 21” Pitch Grey Graphite Grey over the Align Crop 23” Diamond Dye Graphite Grey Pink Pastel, both in size 2,  and you can see the size difference.

The Diamond Dye Graphite Grey Pink Pastel is nice, but it doesn’t give me the wow feeling.  I was expecting it to be a it more vibrant.  It’s not easy to capture the true colors in a picture but this is pretty close.

And here’s a picture of the print next to the Pitch Grey Graphite Grey Print.

(Turns out, the pair Andrea originally purchased in the size 2 was a one-off. She re-purchased another pair in size 2.)

Luckily I ordered another pair of size 2 cos the new one received fits like a regular size 2.  Don’t think I can squeeze onto a size 0 at all! 🤣 Here’s a picture showing the two pairs of size 2.  There’s an one inch difference in the waist overall.

Update from Andrea - I’m not liking the new labels that came with my Align 23” Crop.  Instead of simply sniping the long label off, I’ll need to remove both labels with a thread cutter carefully.  Hopefully I won’t damage the delicate material accidentally!
(Why Lulu?!!!! Why mess with a good thing. 😑)

Coming next is a fit review on the Beyond the Studio Jacket in Graphite Grey.  I wanted to love it but it just doesn’t work for me cos I’m between sizes.  The jacket is really cute and I’m sure it will look amazing on somebody else. I was only wearing a tank and size 2 fitted tight overall.  You can see the creases along the mid/lower back.  The shoulders were tight too.

I didn’t know the jacket was reversible, and It actually looked pretty cool on the reversed side.

Reverse Side

Size 4 was more comfortable but it was a tad big for me especially around the shoulders and chest.  It just wasn’t flattering on me.

Hood Stowed Away

The reversed size fit better in my opinion.

Sleeves are not overly long like most Lulu jackets, and even if it’s a bit long for you it wouldn’t tell because of the ruchings along the sleeves.  I wish the hood was more generous though cos I had to untie my ponytail to fit into the hood.

Overall speaking, the Beyond the Studio Jacket is well made and cute.  I would say order TTS and a size up if you’re Interested."

Thank you Andrea! Much appreciated for all the photos and detailed review.

Andrea, you look amazing in both the Align crop and the Beyond the Studio Jacket. I think the jacket in size 4 fits you perfectly.

    1. Hi Wei! I was thinking there would be a few who do not have an Instagram account. I do have a way around it. If you know someone who does have an account, you could ask them to post a comment and follow me just for a week and they can unfollow after that. If your friend happens to win (it would also be better if this friend has no interest in Lululemon so they won't be tempted to keep the gift card for themselves. lol) they can give me your email address so I can email the gift card out. I really would love it if a regular here won the giveaway!

Sorry- copied and pasted this from above. I wouldn't want you to miss out! I've had friends ask me to enter giveaways for them, mostly doll stuff that I'm not interested in. =)

  7. Congratulations on your 1000th post, Leslie! I’ve been following your blog for a few years and it’s the only blog that I read regularly. Your posts are fun to read and your fit reviews so helpful for us petite ladies. What I love most about you is that you’re an animal lover! <3

Too bad I don’t have an Instagram account. I opened one for my artwork a couple years ago but never posted anything! :D. Will see if that account is still active!

    Keep up the good work!

    1. Thank you Andrea! I don't mention my furkids here enough. They're about to turn 3 soon. I'll give them a shout out when that happens. =)

As long as you remember your name and password the account should still be active as long as you didn't delete it. But in case you can't find your account, you can always ask a friend to post a comment for you and follow me until the winner is announced. It would be best if your friend wasn't interested in Lululemon so they won't be tempted to keep the gift card for themselves! =D I'll ask for an email address to send the gift card to and they can provide your email. Would love it if someone regular here won the giveaway!

  8. Congrats on 1000 posts!! You've put so much work into your blog and I'm proud of you! I aspire to be this persistent in my hobbies! (Currently it's rollerskating) It's strange the 23" diamond dyes fit bigger! I love the 23" length aligns but also wish the hem was slightly smaller. It ever so slightly gapes on me. The print is pretty but not amazing I think. Thanks Andrea for the review!

    1. Thank you Janessa! I've only took up roller-blading back in the 90s? It's been a while since! The size difference was a one-off. Looks like maybe they put the wrong tag on her size 2. I'm still hoping they release better colors in the 17 inch length.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Review! Balenciaga Rodeo Bag Size Small Plus Video

You all know I love my bags, and as a Balenciaga collector, I don't often stray from the City and First style. The Rodeo (pronounced like Rodeo Drive) really caught my eye. It gives off a slouchy Hermes Kelly vibe, but way more practical to use.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall. Balenciaga Rodeo Bag Small The Rodeo can be carried a few ways. It comes with a crossbody strap that is not adjustable but it is removable. Not sure why anyone wouldn't add a few extra holes to make a strap adjustable these days. Come on Balenciaga! Do better! The top handle is a bit too long for this to work anyhow, I feel like the top handle gets in the way. It sticks out and doesn't sit well in my opinion. I wouldn't carry this bag crossbody unless it was an unforeseen emergency and I really needed my hands free. This bag looks more chic carried by the handle or crook of the arm. It also looks nice left open with the help of the flap tucked in. The Rodeo resembles the Kelly bag ...

Review! Lululemon's Large Everywhere Belt Bag Size Comparison Plus Video!

Happy Friday! I can't believe it's almost Halloween! I actually have a dentist appointment on Halloween. One of my molars chipped and needs to be filled in. It's a tiny chip that I didn't even notice until my dentist pointed it out to me during my last visit. I'm not looking forward to it at all since I will need local anesthesia. Anyway, today I have a belt bag size comparison review for you all! For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.
