Hope everyone had a great weekend! We didn't do anything for Independence Day. The hubby ended up getting food poisoning on Friday night so we stayed indoors the entire time. It's even more stressful because in the back of my head I'm thinking "OMG does he have Covid?!". He has the sweats and keeps running to the bathroom but he can still smell and he isn't coughing or any breathing issues. So we think it's definitely food poisoning from undercooked chicken wings. He ate a really big drum and it may have been not fully cooked. So we'll see! Sorry if that was all TMI. 😂
Anyhow, I've been eyeing the Perfectly Oversized Crew ever since it was released in the pretty blue cast color. For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically a size 4 in Lululemon tops.
I ordered my usual size 4 and while it doesn't look too oversized it definitely FEELs oversized. I felt like I was swimming in the size 4. I can easily size down to a 2 in this. I'm not 100% confident on sizing down to a 0. I would definitely have to try it on and see.
There are no fancy details in this sweatshirt. No thumbholes. It's a light to medium weight sweatshirt that is perfect for indoor AC temperatures. I can also see myself wearing this in the cool summer nights. The fabric isn't overly soft but it's comfortable. The color is very pretty in person and the website photos are accurate.
The length hits mid thigh and completely covers the bum. Overall I liked this sweatshirt, but at the price of $108 plus tax I'm a little hesitant to say it is worth it. I think I would definitely pull the trigger if it's on WMTM. I also like the heathered iced iris color that came out last week. If I find either color on sale they're mine. That's it for me! The color and style of the crew look good on you! I think size 2 would be a better fit. Just keep in mind that it shrinks a bit in drier (I only leave mine in for 10 minutes). I bought the light pink one (XS) at full price and the chanti one (Sz 4) on WMTM. I love the oversized look, but I think two are plenty in this style. I am eyeing the Ready to Roll Crew. Have you done a fit review?
ReplyDeleteBy the way, Lulu uploaded early. There are some goodies. I am tempted by the HH HR mesh shorts. One of my HH HR shorts is coming today. I should wait until I try it on before buying more. Ha Ha, FOMO is real with Lulu shorts these days!
Have not reviewed the Ready to Roll Crew but it is on my list! The lunar rock is really pretty but sold out in the 4. I might try vapor but I have a feeling I won't like this one as much because the neckline looks very small.

I had to size down one size in the Perfectly Oversized Crew, I got in the wild bluebell color a while ago. Agreed that it is not overly soft, but still comfortable. I like the blue cast color on you, it’s a pretty and understated blue. Not worth $108 in my option either though. I kept mine mostly because Lululemon was taking way too long to process returns!

DeleteThe Blue Cast color is so pretty but the crew definitely doesn’t worth that much. You can find something similar from many other brands at a much more reasonable price. If only it had interesting design details ...

DeleteThe Hotty Hot Short 4” just arrived and the rise is lower than I thought! Didn’t know it came with a liner and not sure if I like it. The overall fitting is a tad snug but 4 will definitely be too big. Very disappointed cos the style is kind of cute.
DeleteYes I am the same way, I'm in between sizes for the Hotty Hot Shorts. I do want to try the high rise Hotty Hot to see if that fits better.
DeleteI wanted to love the Soft Ambitions crop crew but the arms are HUGE. I'm 5'0" and tried on the smallest size, but sadly I think they were just too long and baggy.

DeleteI love that color so much! If I didn't already have two of these I would've gotten blue cast. It's not really worth the $ but I wear it all the time. Hopefully it's on WMTM
