Fit Review Friday! Athleta Mineral Wash Crop Tee & Organic Daily Crew Tee

Happy Friday! This fit review is not the most exciting, but I haven't posted any new tops in quite a while. Here are two Athleta tees I found recently that are very comfortable.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically a size 4 in Lululemon tops. For Athleta this translates to XXS or XS depending on the cut.

This crop top hits at the top of my hips. A little lower than my waist but still probably on the short side for a tee. I'm surprised how much I actually like the length! Works well with high waisted bottoms. The fabric is very smooth and soft.

The cut is a little boxy, but not overly so. The fit is relaxed and perfect for lounging around or even a light workout. I will probably use this as a very casual top for weekend wear and around the house. I tend to go through t-shirts very quickly and I'm always on the lookout for black. It just goes with everything and I have 2 black cats. 😅

This crop tee also comes in some very nice colors like volcanic violet and iron blue. I wish I had snagged this tee sooner when all the colors were in stock. Does anyone know if Athleta ever restocks?

Next up we have a simple Organic Daily Cotton Tee. I'm also wearing size XS, but the length is a little bit too long on my petite frame. I admit I have a very short torso. It's fine if I tuck it in, but I normally don't like to do that unless I'm at the office. I'm still deciding whether I want to keep this top or not. This also comes in a very nice mauve color cascadia violet that looks very pretty.

I do like the feel of the light weight cotton fabric. It's always a staple for me to keep a bunch of black tees in my drawer. I have probably about five different black tees. Anyone else do that too? I usually prefer J.Crew's essemtial tee and vintage tee but I wanted to try something different this time.

In other news, the Ivivva Rhythmic Tight Diamond Dye Lavender Dusk just went on WMTM for $39! If you missed it, check out my review of them here.

Athleta is also having a sale with new mark downs. This wrap is probably one of my favorites.

(This wrap is sooooo soft I have three colors in my closet.)

Not on sale are two really cute button up tops that I would love for spring. Oh if only we could just leave the house already! If you're new to Athleta, you can receive 20% off your first order with my referral link

(Another cute crop shirt! I think I am starting to dig crop tops just a teeny bit.)

WMTM also had a big update today. Although they are calling it Sale items seems like.

(This runs at least a size large but it's also 50% off!)

(This scarf just looks so pretty with this outfit! But seriously... this scarf, anyone have it yet?)

That's all for me! Have a great weekend! Stay Safe!

  1. I was so distracted by your pretty Ivivva Rhythmic Pant and wasn’t paying much attention to the tees lol. The colors looks more vibrant in your pictures,

I have many black tees, all of them decorated with white dog hair lol. Wish we had Athleta here. I used to get all my tees from GAP but things are getting ridiculously expensive for their quality. Now I go to MUJI for basic tees. Nothing fancy but it’s worth the extra bucks.

I love how the Mineral Wash Crop Tee looks on you. It definitely works on a short torso!

Can’t believe the Rhythmic Pant in lavender dusk is already on sale. Don’t know why but it has disappeared on the Canadian site. It was available in full size range yesterday when I checked ...

Toronto business is slowly opening up and we are keeping our fingers crossed. It’s a bit too early in my opinion. If only the government makes wearing a mask/face protection mandatory in the public. It’s kind of risky taking the subway ...

Take care and have a wonderful weekend!

    1. Hi Andrea! Yes the tights aren't as saturated in real life. The lighting wasn't the best that day. They're lighter but I think they're prettier and darker than what the website shows. I've noticed some items disappear and come back a couple of days later on sale. I would check back for them again or call for price adjustment? They give you 7 days still.

Things are slowly opening here as well. But I agree, too risky. Will still be staying in.

      Stay safe!

  2. I love crop tees with high waisted leggings. That mineral crop tee is so cute! I actually like to tuck in longer shirts for skirts and jeans sometimes.

    1. Thanks! It is the first crop tee I actually really like!

I have not worn jeans or skirts in soooo long at this point. Been living in sweat pants and leggings!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
