Fit Review! Short Sweet & Sherpa Jacket

Hope everyone had a nice and relaxing weekend. I finally have pictures to post a review of the Short Sweet & Sherpa Jacket. I am wearing the heathered antique bark color. I'm reviewing it in two sizes - XXS and XS.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches and typically a size 4 in Lululemon jackets.

This is the size XS. The length feels really good. Not too short. But the body is boxy and the sleeves are poofy. I do like how wide the collar is. This jacket is very warm and cozy, just like a teddy bear! I also really like the color. It matches my hair. 😄

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is the XXS and I feel the jacket is too short. It is cropped and not in a good way. The waist band is fairly tight on me and I can feel it riding up when I move. The body definitely looks more fitted and not as boxy as the size XS. The XXS definitely looks more flattering.
The sleeves are a little poofy but not as big as the XS. The XS was borderline ridiculous. Even my husband said so. Unfortunately because of the in-between fit, I decided to return both. Personally if I had to choose, I would go with the XS because of the length.
In other news I was very surprised to see the Pack It Down Jacket and Pack It Down Vest on WMTM.
  1. That Sherpa looks real cute on you. Is that the true color of antique bark in your pics? I didn’t think the sleeves in the xs were too poofy on you. The Sherpa looks so cozy on you :)
    1. Oh the lighting makes it look more yellow- brown, but it's actually a really nice purple mauve in person. Maybe if this ends up on WMTM I'll pick up the XS.
  2. I'm with you on the Sherpa jacket. I got the size S in the end because of the uncomfortable waist fit for the size XS. I do think it is petite friendly though. On my 5'6 frame XS makes my torso look inproportionately short... Also the collar for XS is narrower, so it stands stiffer and keep rubbing my chin.
    1. I guess it is better to size up in this one. The crop length just made it a little uncomfortable. I felt like I would always tug it down. =)
      What color did you get?
    2. I got the white/grey one, but would have preferred it in full white. Still keeping it because it is different from the standard straight cut I see everywhere/. I also have my eyes on the Sherpa Furever Bomber black under the WMTM girls section. It's only $39; if the material is the same it would be a steal...
    3. I've tried some of the girls jackets and it is very hit or miss. The fit is also never right... I would try it if it wasn't on WMTM. Risky since there are no reviews!
  3. I like how the XXS fits on you, it’s looks fitted. Thanks for the review I’ve been keeping my eye on this one
  4. I also like how size xxs fits on you and the color is gorgeous (saw it at one of the stores). I don’t like cropped jackets so it’s a pass for me. By the way, I ended up keeping the Sincerely Sherpa Jacket and am really loving it (okay wait till I have to hand wash it!!!).
    1. Are you sure you can't wash it in the washing machine with the delicate setting? I really hate hand washing anything...
    2. Hesitate to try machine washing cos what if it shrinks of the Sherpa material gets stiff ...
    3. You'll have to keep me posted how it turns out with the hand washing.
  5. Thx for the review. I'm usually a 4 in Scuba Hoodies (5ft 3" 118lbs),but just ordered a size XXS b/c that's all I can find. It's so hard to tell from all of the reviews as much depends on how you like it to fit. But, your photos are very helpful. I think the XXS looks great on you. Wish I could find that color. I guess I was too late to the party. Can't wait for the jacket to arrive, although I'm prepared for it to be too small.
    1. Would love to know what you think of the XXS. I did find it to be too cropped on me. Lulu may release it again next year since this was very popular.
Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot
  I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...
Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel
  So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void
  Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
