So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos. The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

Ooh would love to hear if any recs you have for Boston! Will be going there in November :)
ReplyDeleteWhat are you looking to do in Boston? (this is her husband btw. I lived in Boston for 17 years before we moved to the south).
DeleteHow fun! :D
ReplyDeleteHi @natis! We would love recommendations for lobster rolls! Also, which college campus is worth a look? Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteYou'll hear a lot of people say to get a lobster roll at Neptune Oyster. To be honest, we weren't impressed. If you want something a bit fancier, Island Creek Oyster in Kenmore is pretty good. If you want something a bit more casual, I honestly don't think you can go wrong with Summer Shack. A lot of people put down Summer Shack because of how casual it is, but seafood is a dirty experience typically anyway. We'll always tell people to go to Uni. They're pricey but our favorite place. Also El Pelon is a great place for quick burritos and the such.
DeleteHarvard has the nicest campus, then maybe Boston College. The other schools' campuses are integrated into the city a bit more rather than feeling sectioned off.
Thank you so much! This is so helpful!
