Fit Review Friday! On The Fly Crop Woven, On The Fly Short Luxtreme, Wanderer Culotte, On The Fly 7/8 Pant Woven
Happy Friday everyone! I have another store try on review. I'm really loving the On The Fly line lately.
For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches and typically a size 4 in Lululemon bottoms.
The waist fits true to size. As you can see, these are ankle length on me even at the crop length of 23 inches. I have one leg rolled up twice to show off some leg. I feel like these are baggy in the thigh area, and the pant leg tapers in a weird way. These definitely need to be hemmed. For $88, the price isn't awful, but I'm not 100% sure I need these in navy since I have the 7/8 version in black, which you will see later in the post.
Next we have the On The Fly Short in luxtreme. I'm wearing my normal size 4 and these fit true to size. I love the 2.5 inch length. I find these to be very flattering and comfortable.

I generally do not like white tops, but I love white shorts. They make my pale legs look somewhat tanned. 😂 These are great for casual weekends or even loungewear. The fabric is very soft and smooth to touch. I've worn them a couple of times already and happy to find another pair of shorts for summer.
Remember when I tried on the Wanderer Culottes a few weeks ago in my normal size 4, but found the waistband to be too tight? This time I grabbed a size 6 to compare. The length was still fine, but I do think there's way too much fabric under the waistband. The waist did feel more comfortable in the larger size. I ended up passing as I didn't want to settle for a pair that was just okay.

Lastly I purchased a pair of On The Fly 7/8 Pant Woven and got them hemmed to a true 7/8 length so I could wear these to the office on casual Fridays. I really like how they came out and I am very tempted to order them in the new red dust color.

I like those on the fly shorts on you! The color is a perfect light neutral. I don't own white shorts but this makes me want to.

ReplyDeleteI personally prefer Luxtreme to woven fabric as the former is softer thus drapes better. I would’ve gotten the On the Fly Wide Leg 7/8 if it was made with Luxtreme.
Even though I love how breezy it is, I finally returned my Wanderer Culotte cos I can’t make it look nice without fixing it here and there, If I wear it slightly lower at the waist, there is a lot of bulging in the belly area. But if I wear it higher at the waist, the rise pulls. Too bad cos it’s really comfy plus I love the pleat details.
I thought of getting the Wanderer Pant which is now on sale but the side pleat detail will be gone after hemming. Just not worth spending that much money on a pair of plain pant with elastic waistband in my opinion.

Ahhh yes the Wanderer Culotte's... it was a close purchase. I'm glad I tried it on though in the 4 and 6 to be sure it wasn't meant to be. Would rather spend a little extra for OTF bottoms!
