Fit Review Friday! Wunder Under Crop Scallop, Align Crop Monochromic, To The Beat Tight

Happy Friday! I also can't believe it's already April! I placed an order yesterday for a handful of items to review. The package is due to arrive tomorrow. These are items that some of you have requested. If the weather cooperates I'll do a photo shoot this weekend. I also received a pair of Werkshop leggings but I think I need to send them back for another pair. The stitching is really off on the backside. First time I've ever had a imperfect pair of leggings from Werkshop. I have no doubt they will let me exchange it for another pair.

Today I have a few pairs of leggings for review. For reference I'm 4 feet 11 and typically a size 4 in Lululemon bottoms.

This pair is the roll down version but I really was not able to roll these down in any way in my size 4. I did find these to be true to size. If I rolled them down it would give me serious muffin top. These are very high waisted and hit above the belly button.

The length is 23 inches and hit at my ankles. I'm sad to say these are very loose around my ankles. As for the bend over test, I wore navy underwear and you could not see the underwear at all, BUT I could see the rip tag very easily. I assume as long as you remove the rip tag, everything should be fine.

Next up I have been wanting a pair of Align Crops in print or pattern and finally found a pair to keep! I will have to get these hemmed unfortunately, but I'm okay with that. I also have not bought a new pair of Align Crops in probably over a year.

These are true to size. The fabric is not as soft and buttery as my other Align Crops. They feel almost like full on Luxtreme. As for the bend over test, found these to be 100% opaque for me.

I'm going to have three inches taken off.

I think this pattern is super flattering. When the light hits it just right, it looks like a technical piece. I'm very pleased and excited. I can't wait to get these hemmed!

The last pair of tights being reviewed today is To The Be at Tight. I purchased this in my usual size 4, but this one runs very very small. I would say to size up one whole size. If you're in between sizes you might have to go up two sizes.

The waistband was so uncomfortable I could barely keep them on for the photo shoot and you can tell by my face in the photo below. 😫 Although, I should mention that these fit normally in the hips, legs and thighs. It was just the waist that I found too small.

I was so not happy!

The fabric is Everlux and feels very soft and smooth. The length of these is 24 inches and I actually really liked the length of these. I also found the seams to be well placed. They did not bother me in any way. These also passed the bend over test.

The ankles were just a little loose on me. Not enough to look bad. Here are some more photos in the sunlight. I do think the plum shadow color is a very pretty burgundy/purple.

That's all for today! Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend! I don't have anything planned besides the photoshoot. Fingers crossed.

  1. The Align Monochromatic Black has always been on my wishlist. It looks great on you! Thanks for the WMTM update! I haven't tried on any of the WMTM dresses but I'm tempted to get one. :D

    1. Thanks! I thought it was sold out on the website, but I randomly checked last week and they had my size in stock so I jumped on it.=)

  2. Thanks for the reviews. I’ve always preferred Nulu to Luxtreme pants in terms of comfort but now that you mentioned the Align Crop Monochromatic Black Emboss feels like Luxtreme, I’m wondering if I should order WU Crop in the pretty Washed Marble Titanium Deep Coal (full on Luxtreme) instead.

Would you recommend getting the WU Crop in mid rise or low rise (too bad it doesn’t come in high rise)? Which one tends to create worse muffin top?

    Appreciate your advice!

    1. Hmmmm tough call, but if I had to choose one I would probably go with mid rise. But it's tricky. Maybe try both and see which one you find more comfortable.

I'm hoping they will release the washed marble print in the Align Crops!

    2. Thanks, Leslie! I also hope Washed Marble Titanium Deep Coal will come in Align Crop cos some people commented that WU in Full On Luxtreme wouldn’t stay in place. Tough call indeed!

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...
