Fit Review Friday! Bold Move Jacket, Align Crop Spanish Oak, Hooded Define Jacket Nulu

Happy Friday everyone! I had this post planned since Monday and what do you know, the Bold Move Jacket just hit WMTM for $79.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically a size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.

(on WMTM $79)

I fit a size 4 in Define Jackets and this one fits similar. I would say it is true to size. The fabric is Nulu which means it feels like butter. It is super soft. The ruffles make the jacket an interesting combination of feminine yet structured. It almost reminds me of a Napoleonic military jacket if the ruffles were a contrasting color. I really love the color antique bark and I'm quite tempted to re-order this jacket at the sale price.

This jacket hits right at the hips. I do have one issue with this jacket, the sleeve length. Sometimes I can get away with a longer sleeve length but in this case, I think there's too much extra fabric bunched up around my wrists. This jacket does have thumbholes. There is the option to have the sleeves shortened, but then you lose the thumbholes. I do find this jacket to be fitted throughout and quite flattering. Despite the long sleeves, I do feel this jacket is petite friendly.

The pockets are hidden on the side seam.

The back of the jacket flares out when left unzipped. Pretty!

The inside lining has mesh going around the outside of the jacket and the middle is the smooth Nulux fabric. Overall, a very nice jacket for spring. I think it's worth it for $79 if you do not mind the sleeves being too long.

I also wanted to show some better photos of my Hooded Define Jacket. This jacket runs very small, and it's the only time I've ever been a size 6 in tops. Also wearing Align Crops in spanish oak.

Also wanted to share my latest handbag score. A vintage Fendi Baby Spy in purple! I am so stoked to  find this bag in mint condition.

I've been itching to add another pair to my collection of Align Crops. Spanish oak looks more pink online, but in person it actually looks more nude. I am going to return these because the color is too nude for my tastes.

Also, you'll notice that the length is now 21 inches long which means it doesn't fit the way it should. It flares out a bit at the ankles and I had to cuff them about four inches for them to fit my calves. I might be able to get away with hemming them three inches shorter, but I'm not 100% sure.

Wish they still made these in the 19 inch length.

These are opaque for me. 100%

At this length, they're a bit too short?

That's it for me! What are your plans this weekend? I'm going to see Dumbo! I'm so excited. I loved that movie as a child. I expect to be crying throughout the movie. Will be bringing a box of tissues for sure!

Check out this weeks WMTM update.

(This color is nice for spring/summer.)

(There's actually quite a few Define Jackets on sale right now, all lovely.)

(For $59 I actually am tempted to get one for 50% off.)

(This is now half off!)

  1. Thanks so much for the review for the Bold Move Jacket! I love the antique bark color on you, and despite the sleeve length, I think that jacket is a keeper. I've got one ordered for myself already. I think if you got the Align Crops hemmed to where you had them folded up, it would be a cute length for summer.

  2. Those are Allbirds. They run small, I would suggest sizing up. I have a couple of reviews on these sneakers on my blog as well. Just do a search for Allbirds. =)

  3. Hi there! How do you feel about the hooded define jacket in Nulu? I keep reading reviews about the pilling and was worried about paying so much for something that will start looking old right away. But I it looks so so pretty. How is it holding up for you?

    1. I've only had it for a short time, and only wore it twice so far, it's still kind of cold in Atlanta. But now that it is warming up a little bit I'll be using it more. I did consider the pilling reviews which is why I went for the print. It will mask most of pilling. If you're going with a solid color, it's likely to show some pilling.

  5. I was interested in the Bold Move Jacket but knew it would be too short for my liking. Love the pleating in the front which makes the jacket very feminine and interesting. However, there are comments that the material puff up around the chest area when the jacket is unzipped, and I can see that on your first picture. Other than that and the extra long sleeves, it looks very nice on you and Antique Bark is an amazing color.

I love Align Crops and am waiting for a nice print. I only got them in printed designs to mask possible pillings. Too bad Spanish Rose didn’t work for you, and I would prefer it to be more pink than nude as well.

    Thanks for the reviews!

    1. The Bold Move Jacket is very unique, I didn't mind the puffed up material when unzipped, but I think it's personal preference. Some people love it, some people hate it. I think as long as you wear it with confidence, that's pretty much all that matters.

I am holding off a pair of Align Crops for this Friday's post. It's a printed one and I think I'm going to keep them!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Review! Balenciaga Rodeo Bag Size Small Plus Video

You all know I love my bags, and as a Balenciaga collector, I don't often stray from the City and First style. The Rodeo (pronounced like Rodeo Drive) really caught my eye. It gives off a slouchy Hermes Kelly vibe, but way more practical to use.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall. Balenciaga Rodeo Bag Small The Rodeo can be carried a few ways. It comes with a crossbody strap that is not adjustable but it is removable. Not sure why anyone wouldn't add a few extra holes to make a strap adjustable these days. Come on Balenciaga! Do better! The top handle is a bit too long for this to work anyhow, I feel like the top handle gets in the way. It sticks out and doesn't sit well in my opinion. I wouldn't carry this bag crossbody unless it was an unforeseen emergency and I really needed my hands free. This bag looks more chic carried by the handle or crook of the arm. It also looks nice left open with the help of the flap tucked in. The Rodeo resembles the Kelly bag ...

Review! Lululemon's Large Everywhere Belt Bag Size Comparison Plus Video!

Happy Friday! I can't believe it's almost Halloween! I actually have a dentist appointment on Halloween. One of my molars chipped and needs to be filled in. It's a tiny chip that I didn't even notice until my dentist pointed it out to me during my last visit. I'm not looking forward to it at all since I will need local anesthesia. Anyway, today I have a belt bag size comparison review for you all! For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.
