Banana Republic Friends & Family Event!

Banana Republic is having their Friends & Family promotion right now. If you're a cardmember use code BRCARDFF for 50% off regular priced items. 30% off leather, suede, silk, and cashmere.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 and wear a size PXXS in this wool blend twill peacoat.

The fit is pretty spot on. Hits at the hip. Sleeves are the perfect length. The style is really cute. I love the stripe twill pattern that runs diagonally. It comes with a collar tab that is removable. It's a cute detail but probably something I would never use.

Removable tab. I'm not even sure what to call it to be honest!

I love how the back of the jacket looks. The waist is accentuated and looks very pleasing with the button placement. The fit is very comfortable. The wool is soft. The jacket is fully lined. The pocket placement is a little awkward. It's off to the side and the only way to place your hands in is straight down.

It looks even more stylish with the jacket left unbuttoned. The look is very effortlessly put together. However, if you're looking for J.Crew quality, this misses the mark. If you're just looking for something to wear for a season or two and you know you'll wear it a lot, then it is worth keeping. I was super tempted to keep it because it is a very cute jacket and the fit is great. I however have a lot of jackets and winter pieces so I will be returning this one.

  1. The Peacoat is so cute on you! Like you said the fit is spot on, even the sleeve length is good! I’ve been looking for a classic peacoat for a while and this one fits the bill. Not sure if I like the huge buttons though ...

The leather moto jacket is cute too but it’s excluded from the current promotion. :(

    1. The huge buttons stick out, but it works. I know I really like the moto jacket but it's only 30% off. If it were 50% I would be suuuuuuper tempted!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Review! Balenciaga Rodeo Bag Size Small Plus Video

You all know I love my bags, and as a Balenciaga collector, I don't often stray from the City and First style. The Rodeo (pronounced like Rodeo Drive) really caught my eye. It gives off a slouchy Hermes Kelly vibe, but way more practical to use.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall. Balenciaga Rodeo Bag Small The Rodeo can be carried a few ways. It comes with a crossbody strap that is not adjustable but it is removable. Not sure why anyone wouldn't add a few extra holes to make a strap adjustable these days. Come on Balenciaga! Do better! The top handle is a bit too long for this to work anyhow, I feel like the top handle gets in the way. It sticks out and doesn't sit well in my opinion. I wouldn't carry this bag crossbody unless it was an unforeseen emergency and I really needed my hands free. This bag looks more chic carried by the handle or crook of the arm. It also looks nice left open with the help of the flap tucked in. The Rodeo resembles the Kelly bag ...

Happy Friday! I can't believe it's almost Halloween! I actually have a dentist appointment on Halloween. One of my molars chipped and needs to be filled in. It's a tiny chip that I didn't even notice until my dentist pointed it out to me during my last visit. I'm not looking forward to it at all since I will need local anesthesia. Anyway, today I have a belt bag size comparison review for you all! For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.
