Athleta's Semi Annual Sale & Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale

Happy Friday! After not ordering anything for over a month, I did some serious damage that past couple of days. I picked up Lululemon's Free To Be Wild Bra in mini twine. Athleta is having a huge semi annual sale right now. I ordered a ton of things and will hopefully have some reviews up. I'm also looking for a new pair of black work pants and found something at Banana Republic. I haven't placed an order with J.Crew yet but I'm looking for some new work tees as well. Also have my eyes on some Nordstrom goodies. Check out my purchases below.

I also placed an order for three pairs of Sculptek Jeans. I really like the pair I purchased last year and want a new pair in gray. Athleta has updated the jeans with a new fit, so I am curious to see if they will fit better. BTW if you're new to Athleta you can receive 20% off your first full price item with my referral link.

From their semi annual sale I have these on the way:

(For $32.99 why the heck not?)

(I originally wasn't going to get this, but I kept thinking about it)

From Banana Republic, I placed an order for these trousers. They look funny on the model, but my inseam is 26 inches and I ordered the regular length instead of the petite so they should be full length on me. They look like they flare out and the trend is back. They're also 40% off right now.

From the Nordstrom Anniversary sale I want these items, but have to wait until they're released to the public sale, since I don't have a Nordstrom card. I have to hope my size doesn't sell out.

I'm a fan of BlankNYC and have a suede moto jacket that I bought last year and love! I think these two additions would be amazing for my fall wardrobe. Yes, I'm already thinking about fall while it's 90+ degrees in Hotlanta.

Last thing on my list are these J.Crew t-shirts. I have my eye on three colors. They're on sale too, plus another 30% off with code SHOPNOW.

This weekend I'm heading to NYC for a surprise trip. My parents and grandma have no idea I'm popping over at all! I'll only be there for 48 hours and will be seeing a Radiohead concert. My husband is coming with me this time and we're leaving the kittens and Nero at home. We have a friend that's coming over to check on them while we're away. Hope everyone has an awesome weekend! Happy shopping!!

  1. I bought a couple of UPF tanks and a pair of Trekkie pants from Athleta. At one point I had that studio wrap in my bag, never checked out and then I forgot about it. I may check to see if it is still available. Have fun in NYC!

  2. You are so lucky living in U.S.! I love your picks, especially the J.Crew Tee, Athleta Studio Wrap and the Barefoot Dreams Circle Cardigan Heathered Silver. Too bad I live in Canada and don’t wanna pay shipping at all.

The Banana Republic pant is nice and I believe Logan Trouser is one of their staple items. I almost always wear petite size when it comes to pants (GAP, Banana Republic or Old Navy) cos even though the length might be okay for a certain cropped pants, it would fit a bit weird around the crotch. Guess we need a slightly shorter rise. Good luck with the pant and please post your try-on reviews!

Have a wonderful weekend in NYC! Your family will be thrilled to see you!

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...
