Review J.Crew Lightweight Sweater Blazer

Hope everyone had a great weekend! Happy Easter to those who celebrate it. We had some friends visit from New York and ate way too much food. I'll have to write a post about it!

Today I have for you the new J.Crew Sophie Lightweight Sweater Blazer. I have the fall winter version in 2 colors and decided to try the new version that's great for spring and air conditioned summer.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically a size PXS or XXS in sweaters/tops.

For this sweater blazer I'm wearing a size XXS. This sweater runs true to size in my opinion. I like the casual look of the sweater. If you want a more fitted look size down one size.

The question that I really wanted to know the answer to - is the sweater really thinner than the fall/winter version? The answer is - yes, but only ever so slightly. It's made out of cotton, polyester and wool. It's definitely very soft to touch. J.Crew says you can wear this all year round. I think it's possible if your summers are very cool or if you're sitting in an air conditioned room all day. I would definitely not wear this outside during the summer. No way.

Right now J.Crew is having a 40% off sale with promo code SPRINGTOIT. I think it's worth the sale price. The heavier weighted version of it has it available in petite sizing.

I'm having my morning tea with Robert Smith 😂

I think it's a great piece for work and goes with almost anything. It's also long enough that it covers your bum. It looks casual but still professional enough for the office. This sweater blazer also comes in two other colors. A pretty pink which I also tried on and baby blue

That's all for me! Don't forget to use the 40% off coupon: SPRINGTOIT

  1. Omg we have the same taste. I tried this on. I thought it looked a bit geriatric on me 😞

  2. How does the petite compare with regular sizing in this blazer?

    1. I didn't get to try the petite sizing on because when I ordered the fall/winter version last year petite wasn't available. They just added that option recently. Otherwise I would have ordered it in petite. The spring version does not come in petite sizing yet. I am pretty sure they will add that on as well. I think they want to see how popular it is before making petite an option.

  3. Thanks so much for your review. I bought this in the XXXS and it fits perfectly. It was a bit of a gamble because i’m from Australi and wouldn’t have been easy to return if it wasn’t! It is very hard to find petite clothes in Oz so very grateful I stumbled upon your post. I’m about an inch taller than you and fit a size 2 in Lulu.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
