My February Purchases

So, I'm supposed to only bring in one new item per month, which so far is proving to be a lot harder than it sounds. February started off with my birthday and the first thing I bought was a new Coach bag I was searching for a few months.

Coach 1941 Rexy Dylan Bag

Then I fell in love with the heathered auburn colored Vinyasa and purchased that. My sister also gave me a Lululemon gift card for my birthday so I ended up buying a few more things throughout the month.

And of course Sherlock passed away and I fell into sadness and grief and needed some retail therapy. I found an etsy shop that made custom rings and ordered one for each of my fur babies. My ring size is 3.5 and only a few shops could make them that small. They are totally affordable and only cost $21 per ring. It took about a week and a half for them to make. I went with rose gold and font 31 in case anyone was curious. I really love how they turned out and I wear them almost everyday.

When I saw this vintage grape Define Jacket pop up on WMTM I pulled the trigger. I still haven't worn it yet, which means I probably could have passed, but I do think it is a really nice shade of purple.

The one thing I really do need are more sports bras. So I ordered a couple more Free To Be Wild Bras in dark mystic and quicksand. I favorite of the two is definitely quicksand. I just love that color so much.

I was this close to keeping the so merlot Align Crop but in the end I decided to return them because after sitting on them for a week I wasn't super excited about them and I would have to get them hemmed. I do love the color but I also didn't need another pair of Align Crops. I also felt it would be hard to wear with many colors.

Balenciaga City Dolma Green 2005

Last but not least, I'm super addicted to old Balenciaga bags. I love the colors and the old chèvre leathers. This one is from 2005 and the color is dolma. It's definitely used and the color has slightly faded in some areas but I think it gives it character and depth. They just do not make Balenciaga bags like this anymore. I've been stalking ebay and Fashionphile for old ones mainly from 2003-2005. The good thing is they're much cheaper now. I scored this one for $400. I don't mind them used as long as the handles are not black and the corners are not super worn through. There's something nice about a vintage bag.

I'm very much into handbags and could really talk about them all day long. I don't want to hijack this post and turn it into a handbag session but if there's anyone who wants to know more about Balenciaga bags, leave me a comment. I've been obsessing about them since 2005.

I also participated in Agentathletica's challenge to find 28 items to get rid of in 28 days. I'm at least happy to report that I found over 28 items that I either donated to goodwill or put into a sell pile. So while I wasn't at all successful in my one item per month purchase, I at least succeeded in the second challenge.

Hope you all had a great weekend! I have some happy news to share with you guys, coming up soon. =)

  1. The rings are beautiful, and such a lovely way to remember Sherlock. I think a little retail therapy is more than justified after such a sad loss. Can't wait to hear your happy news!

  2. Besides Balenciaga, what are your other favorite designer bags? I've never bought one but considering spending a bit more than usual on a new bag for spring/summer...

    1. In my current bag collection, I've got LV, Gucci, Chanel, and Givenchy. I've pretty much owned every designer at some point. Fendi, Dior, Chloe. Those have been sold. It took me a long time to figure out which bags work for me. Thus all the selling that took place. Favorite after Balenciaga is probably my Chanel boy and then my Gucci marmont bag. If I hit the lotto I would one day like to try Hermes and see what that's all about, but I don't think that will happen anytime soon! I try really hard not to spend retail price on bags though. The prices these days are crazy!

    2. The Chanel Boy bag is a classic. That one is so beautiful. The price, though.. omg! I will have to admire from afar lol.

    3. I kinda regret buying the Chanel Boy at retail price. Looking back I would have been fine buying it second hand. But, I've had it for a while now... so I guess it's fine!

    4. You've probably gotten your moneys worth if you've had for awhile! I recently got a Coach bag. I love it. I know that's not really designer but the price is easier to swallow.

    6. Oh, awesome! :) :) I look forward to reading it! I just got a pink one but I really love the ivy color of their Turnlock tote. It's gorgeous. I might save my pennies for that one.

    7. Right now they're having their PCE event. I ended up buying a cute wristlet and bag charm. It should be here today. I think the event ends on the 19th? Could probably get 20% off the Turnlock tote.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
