Upload! February 27th 2018

There's also one thing I want from every Lululemon upload and tonight it's the dusty rose Scuba Hoodie. I also really like the Hatha Wrap but I know that's not likely to get as much use as a hoodie. The dusty rose looks similar to heather bark berry that came out a few years ago. I wonder which color I would prefer. I guess I'll have to find out!

Anything for you tonight?

(I do love the color but the jacket looks so boxy)

(I guess wide leg pants are making a come back!)

(maybe if this goes on sale)

  1. Hi there! Have you ever tried the Athleta midtown ankle pants?

    1. I have not tried those on, but the majority of Athleta pants are usually too baggy on me in the thighs and calves and too long. So I pretty much gave up on their pants. I have a few pairs of bottoms from Athleta girls that fit me almost perfectly.

    1. I've only tried maybe 3 pairs of petite bottoms and none of them fit me very well. I kept the skulptek jeans, but they are a bit loose on me, they seem to stretch after I wear them. So I try and shrink them in the dryer after each wash.

  3. Interesting that the petite sizing is still too big. I vaguely remember having to return Athleta pants for that reason too. Just to share, I’ve found a pair of pants I love. I’m about an inch shorter than you. The north face Aphrodite 2.0 pants. I had to pay $10 to get them shortened though. They have a drawstring bottom and remind me of the lulu studio pants. They also make them in a crop length. The Aphrodite line has a variety of bottoms so make sure you look at the correct ones.

  4. Anyway I asked about the Athleta midtown pant because they remind me of the lulu jet crop slim pants which they no longer make so I was searching for an alternative. I wonder if I should take the chance. I live in Canada so if I have to return them I won’t be able to until April on our trip to Disneyland. Btw, the banana republic ruffle back sweatshirt is adorable on us petites. I bought the regular xs because I wanted my bum covered.

    1. I feel your pain. It is hard finding bottoms that fit us. I've tried Athleta girls and just recently Ivviva. I think the girls department will have more promise than petite sizing, sadly, because we are on the very short end of the petite spectrum.

I haven't looked at BR clothes in a while, will have to pop my head over in there.

    2. My taller friends think it’s great that I can fit girls clothes and shoes but I almost feel embarssed about it. I don’t want to look like I’m wearing kids clothes. Otherwise I wouldn’t mind buying ivvivva. But that logo.... it just screams kids size!

    3. Ivviva does have a small logo. My Athleta girl bottoms do not have a logo, maybe try that? I honestly do not mind girls clothing because one, they're cheaper and two they actually fit and make me look good, so I do not mind at all...

    4. Thanks! What size do you take in Athleta girls bottoms? I take a 2 in LLL

    5. I take a size large in Athleta girls. I am not sure how much smaller you are than me, there's a chance you can do medium or large!

  5. I've been MIA from your blog recently. My condolences to you & your husband re. Sherlock! Broke my heart to read about his final few wks & days...=(

On a LLL note...I ordered the Scuba hoodie in heathered dusty rose & it's awful. It's like lavender - not pink @ all. I totally regret selling my heathered bark berry (I wasn't feeling it anymore, but I do miss the rose gold zipper). I'll wait patiently for them to release heathered butter pink (https://www.lulufanatics.com/item/22635/lululemon-scuba-hoodie-iii-heathered-butter-pink) or something similar 1 day...

I ordered a black Stride hoodie too. Tags are still on, but I think I'll keep it - can't really go wrong w/ a basic like that!

The Scuba in flutterby pink (https://www.lulufanatics.com/item/29836/lululemon-scuba-hoodie-light-cotton-fleece-flutterby-pink) is lovely, but I'm scared stains will be hard to remove.

    1. Thank you... it's been hard and I've been coping by buying things. =(

But that's disappointing that the dusty rose is awful. I'm getting mine today. I'll have some photos to compare the two colors (dusty rose and bark berry). I still have mine but want something a little more light weight.

I haven't tried the Stride Hoodie, but hoping they will release more colors in it. I'm tired of the blacks and grays but at least they got the logo placement right!

The flutterby pink is a little too light for me too.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
