Fit Review Monday! Anew Singlet Magnum, Define Jacket Quicksand, Scuba Hoodie Black Currant, Key Hole Tank Dark Forest, Vinyasa Scarf Tonka Stripe

Hope everyone had a great weekend! I finally have the fit review I've been promising for you all. I was initially going to return it all, but I did end up keeping two items. Find out which made the cut!

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 and typically wear a size 4 in tops and bottoms.

I love the color magnum! This top is like nothing that I own. It's very strappy and feminine. I found the most challenging thing for this singlet is finding a bra that works nicely with it. I tried on the Anew bra, but the cups fall to the side, which I think, looks weird. I'm not really sure the Free To Be Wild bra works with this singlet, but it's the only bra I have that I find very comfortable to wear. I also ordered this singlet in a size 4 to see. There isn't that much of a difference between the two sizes, but I decided the size 2 fits me just a tad better than the size 4. Mainly because the straps are slightly shorter in the size 2. There's also a little bit more room in the rib cage in the size 4.

The side slit goes all the way up to the bra, but it's not an issue really if you're wearing high waisted bottoms, at least for me since I have a short torso. Here I'm wearing an Athleta Chaturanga Tights which are on sale. I think this pairing works really well together. This singlet is super comfortable to wear. This top will keep me cool in the summer. One thing about the material, it does seem to get wrinkled fairly easily.

Next we have the Key Hole Tank in Dark Forest. This tank runs large, so definitely size down. I ordered this in dark forest and black. Dark forest is definitely the winner between the two. Normally I stick to black tops but in this case, the black color just made it look like a sack.

I really like the back vent. I tend to run hot and I'm always looking for tops that will keep me nicely ventilated. This tank is also made of very soft pima cotton. The length is long enough that it covers my bum. For $44 I think this is a good buy and I'll get a lot of use out of this tank.

I ordered the quicksand Define Jacket even though I really do not need anymore Defines.

I love the color quicksand, but I don't think it looks good on me. I ordered my usual size 4 in Define Jackets, but this one feels a little bit more snug than my other ones. The fabric is luon which also worries me because luon tends to pill easily. This is going back. I'm hoping Lulu releases more items in quicksand. I'm hoping for a Scuba Hoodie or a pair of shorts maybe?

I ordered another Vinyasa Scarf in tonka stripe. This scarf is made of super soft rulu, and I think because it is slightly thinner, the scarf doesn't seem to be as fluffy. It sort of collapses on top of itself and looks a bit flat. I couldn't get it to look nice without a mirror, so it's going back. That effortless look I'm going for just took too much effort. 😐

Last but not least I ordered a Scuba Hoodie IV in black currant. I always wear a size 2 in Scuba Hoodies. I know a lot of people are not fans of the new Scuba Hoodie but it's slowly growing on me. I still do not own a Scuba Hoodie IV, but I won't say I'll never buy one. The fleece on the inside is sooooo soft, it won me over. I'm returning the black currant because it just doesn't seem special enough to keep for $118.

Which of these items made the cut? I'm keeping the Key Hole Tank and Anew Singlet. That's all for me today. Hope you all have a great Monday!

    1. I love your name!

But yes I'm returning the quicksand Define. I have about 6 Defines or so? Any new ones I add have to be pretty special. If it wasn't made of luon and maybe had a little bit of texture to it and was super soft I probably would have kept it.

  2. Good choices 😀 I feel the same about Defines, I have 6 so it would have to be super special for me to add it to the collection 😉 I was at Lulu in Zurich on Saturday to return the Blueberry jam pace rivals and came home with my first crb 2 in heathered black. It's super thick and soft plus I have to say I love the fit! I don't prefer it over the original but I do like it.

    1. Oh nice! I still have not bought a CRB2. If I did see one in a nice heathered color I may cave and buy it. I'm just waiting for something that screams must have!

  3. Hope you got the More Than Modal Pants returned! Really sucks when something really comfy doesn't hold up well and you're super cautious with it. Beautiful desk + Swell bottle + nails!!

The Anew Singlet looks super cute on you and love the Magnum color! Personally I love the Black Currant color on you more than Quicksand, but they all look beautiful!

    1. I kinda agree with you. The fleshy pink doesn't look great on me. Maybe if it were a pair of shorts it would work, probably not a good idea to get a top in quicksand. I'm debating on getting the Anew Singlet in black currant as well.

    2. I still think it looks great on you! I think I'm just impartial to more purple-ish tones. :P Ohhh you should! I'm really hoping for a Black Grape Hotty Hot 2 shorts tonight *fingers crossed*. The Black Grape Fast & Free Crops I was waiting for still never came out hehe.

I still need to try a Define Jacket... What do you love about it?

    3. I'm the same, purple just looks better on our skin tone? Ohhhh if we get the black grape hotty hot shorts I'm totally getting that! I can't believe the Fast & Free Crops never came out in black grape for US.

Define Jackets are awesome. I find them to be form fitting and figure flattering especially on a petite frame. The sleeves I find are slightly compressive, so whenever I finish a very intense arm workout, the Define Jacket just feels soooooo good on. And if you get one that's textured like Coco Pique, which I have, it's so soft and cozy. You definitely need to try one!! I try and stay away from the luon ones because of the pilling, unless I really love the color then it's game over no matter what the fabric. They're also thin enough so you can layer under jackets or hoodies.

  4. That Define Jacket is stunning on you. I think you need to reconsider that one. I also love the Anew Tank on you with that bra.

    1. Thanks! I prefer my dusty mauve over quicksand though? I seriously have too many Defines, I really shouldn't! But I am considering another Anew Singlet...

  5. Thanks for the review!!
I like quicksand define on you but I agree that you don't really need to keep both dusty mauve and quicksand. I tried anew singlet today and it was very pretty on. I just worried if my toddler plays pikaboo with the side slit.
I returned hotty hot forest green and speedy in aerial drift. I ended up getting hotty hot in dark carbon and cardero tank. I love pima cotton tank with $38 price tag!!

    1. The cardero tank is really nice, but a little too deep cut for me. There are actually quite a few tanks for $38, I am kind of surprised!

    2. Yes, cardero tank is little steep in v line but it covers a lot of side boobs and maybe little exposure on front so i show my cute bra. lol
It's worth give it a try when you hit store. It's size down item though.

Btw I returned the shibori from Athleta. I didn't like the placement and i had the gusset problem that I mentioned before. I wonder why it happens to my some Athleta leggings.

    3. Thanks for the tip in the Cardero tank!

That's too bad about the shibori leggings. They looked really cute.

We tried HelloFresh for the past two months - Here's our review

Hi everyone! This post is written by my husband. Some of you may know he does all the cooking around here. 😅 We noticed we were spending a lot of money on food and eating out every month and wanted to see if a meal kit service would save us money and time. After looking at a few meal kit services we settled on HelloFresh. Without further ado, here's Jared's review. (Original post date Aug 2022). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As you may have seen from Leslie's Instagram stories for the past 2 months, we've been using HelloFresh for most of our meals. The main drivers for this were to better track what we eat and because on the advice of my doctor, I should be eating more home cooked meals. Before I go any further, it should be noted that my original career path was in culinary arts, but twists and turns in life changed that. So I do have formal cooking experience. A little background story. Over the years, I've developed
