Fit Review Friday! Go Lightly Backpack

Ok, so this isn't really a fit review, but still a review and tomorrow is Friday. Before I start, I want to let you all know, my husband bought this backpack for me as part of my birthday gift. So I'm still doing well on my ban!

As of right now the dark chrome color is sold out online. Midnight navy and black are currently available. I really fell in love with the midnight chrome color. It's different than your typical black colored backpack. Of course because it's so light in color there's always a chance of it becoming dirty.

This backpack is definitely on the large side. It's big enough to fit my 15 inch macbook pro easily. What's nice about this backpack is the back compartment is specifically made for a laptop. That's pretty sweet.

The main compartment zips halfway down on both sides with double zippers. Inside there is a mesh pocket and even comes with a separate shoe bag.

Double zippers are very nicely weighted.

The bottom part of the backpack has a large zippered pocket where you can store your water bottle or even your shoes. There's also a top handle which gives you options on how to grab your bag when you're on the run.

On the side of the backpack is a small zippered hidden pocket that can stash your phone. I don't think the pocket is that easy to get to if when wearing the bag. I think it would have been better if the pocket was slightly lower.

The straps are not very adjustable. You can see how long they are in the next photo. The straps themselves are very sturdy and padded.

Here you can see how little you can actually adjust the straps. I already have them set at the shortest  possible setting.

Unfortunately the bag is not very petite friendly. I felt like it hung too far down my back and sat on my butt too much for my liking. I will say the straps are very comfortable.

The bag looks really nice with my darkest magenta First Mile Jacket. The contrast of the two colors work well together.

I've also read some reviews on the bag and most seem to agree that the quality is not up to par. For $128 I don't want to have to worry about the bag falling apart. The straps coming apart seem to be the common complaint.

In the next photo I found it a little hard to get around the strap of the bag to reach the hidden pocket to get to my key holder. I'm using my key holder instead of my iPhone because I actually use my iPhone to take all these photos.

Overall I prefer my Run All Day Backpack which I have a review of here. If the straps were more adjustable I probably would have kept the bag. But unfortunately this one is heading back and yes my husband is okay with that! =)

That's all for today! I have to wake up super early tomorrow for a 7am meeting. Really not looking forward to waking up at 5:30 am. But at least it's Friday! Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
