Fit Review Friday! Lightly Jacket, Cadence Crusher Tight, Speed Short & more!

Happy Friday everyone! I went to the store yesterday to pick up my WU Hi-Rise Ombre Melange that I got hemmed. They're still a little too long as I didn't want to cut off too much. While I was there I decided to try on a few items.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and wear a size 4 in tops and bottoms.

This jacket has the same fit as the Define Jacket. I found it to be very true to size. I found it to be very comfortable and figure flattering. For my height I thought the jacket hit at the hip at a nice place and covered most of my bum.

However, there was one big problem, the sleeves are super ridiculously long on me. I'm used to sleeves being long, but this was probably the longest sleeve I've ever come across in a long time. You can see how much it bunches up in all the photos. If it wasn't for that I would really consider adding this jacket to my collection.

Has anyone ever gotten sleeves hemmed before on a Lulu jacket?

Next up we have the Cadence Crusher Tight. I am trying it on in the tiny geo black/white print.

Fit is true to size.  They fit similar to the Speed Tights on me. The waist hit right below my belly button.

The fabric is textured and not smooth for the geo print. It actually felt slightly rough to touch. I found these to be medium in compression.

Length is long and bunched up at my ankles. There is also a zippered pocket at the side. Overall, I liked these. If you're looking for another running tight similar to the Speed Tight, this might work for you.

I can never pass up trying on Speed Shorts. The store had the new strive multi print and wanted to see if I liked these more than midnight tulle hero blue.

I found these to be true to size. But the winner for me is definitely midnight tulle hero blue.

And I want to show you my outfit of the day.

OOTD:
(back in stock in XXS which is the size I'm wearing)
Top: Lululemon What The Sport Tee (old)
Bottom: Lululemon High Times Pant in Herringbone (similar here)
Boots: Uggs Maylin

Last thing I want to mention, I had to buy a suit. I went to Nordstrom and found a decent suit that actually fit me! The brand is Halogen (Nordstrom brand). They make petite sizes and I'm a 00P in the jacket and 0P in the pants.

That's all for me!  Hope everyone has a warm and safe weekend for those who are getting snow!

    1. I tried on a bunch of Banana Republic suits as well and they didn't quite fit me. Still too big or too long =( I'll have to see if they have Reiss here, I've never heard of that brand before.

    2. Nice suit! Good luck on whatever opportunity is coming your way! I like JCrew Super 120s wool suiting. Unfortunately, the petite sizes are usually only online.

    3. Thank you! I did pop into a Jcrew to look at the suits, but like you said they are online only for the petite sizing.

  3. Love your suit! I visited store today and the mermaid print was not so much impressive. :(
I received my ombré melange today and wore them out today!! I really love them. I fold them inside with bunched look today and wondering if i should hem them or not. I wish I can narrow the ankle too!!
I tried fit physique crop and pants and i love them both. Since i ordered crops I bought a pair of full length too. I really love leggings with decent pockets.

    1. And I'm still waiting for my orders from athleta and they are super slow on shipping!!! T_T
I wish i get them before the spring comes...

    2. I took 4 inches off the ombre melange and they're still pretty long. I agree, the ankle is a bit baggy. I know, Athleta shipping really does take forever. It's like a week or more usually. I'm also trying not to spend anymore until I see what the Warehouse sale looks like on the 12th!

  4. I wear a four in Banana Republic and am a six in Lululemon stuff, so I think Banana Republic runs large. I'm a UK ten in Reiss which is a US 6, so they're more TTS. I know they have a shop in LA but I don't think it's so common over there yet 😉

  5. I just took a look, so far looks like all the stores are mainly in the northeast of US. Nothing in the south yet. Also looks like they don't make petite sizes. But their suits do look very nice though!

We tried HelloFresh for the past two months - Here's our review

Hi everyone! This post is written by my husband. Some of you may know he does all the cooking around here. 😅 We noticed we were spending a lot of money on food and eating out every month and wanted to see if a meal kit service would save us money and time. After looking at a few meal kit services we settled on HelloFresh. Without further ado, here's Jared's review. (Original post date Aug 2022). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As you may have seen from Leslie's Instagram stories for the past 2 months, we've been using HelloFresh for most of our meals. The main drivers for this were to better track what we eat and because on the advice of my doctor, I should be eating more home cooked meals. Before I go any further, it should be noted that my original career path was in culinary arts, but twists and turns in life changed that. So I do have formal cooking experience. A little background story. Over the years, I've developed
