Fit Review Friday! Athleta Down to Town Sweatshirt

Happy Friday everyone!  My parents are coming to visit me for the weekend.  I am hoping to get to a Lulu store tomorrow morning before I pick my parents up.  Will the Align Crop in alberta lake come home with me?  We shall see!

So the first time I saw this sweatshirt/hoodie/jacket on Athleta's website, I was pretty obsessed with it.  I went to the store and tried on the charcoal gray version.  They didn't have the black at the store in my size so I went home and ordered it.  I had rewards from my Banana Republic card so I got it for $98 + tax.  Not a bad deal.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically a size 4 in Lululemon Define Jackets.  For Athleta I'm usually a XXS sometimes XS in tops.

For this jacket I decided to go with the XXS.  The fit is definitely slim.  I won't be wearing more than a t-shirt underneath this.  The fit is a little snug in the armpit for me, but I decided to deal with it.  If you want to layer with sweaters, definitely size up.

Also wearing my Crane leggings here.

The front of the jacket that looks like a vest is filled with 800 down.  I think this will take me well into winter in Atlanta.  The back of the jacket is sweatshirt material and the fabric is soft and smooth.  I love how the back is long enough to cover the bum and is fitted around the hips.

It does however flare out just a little bit, you can see it in the below photo.  Not sure why that is, but the ones at the store were the same.

The sleeves are not tight.  It's just the armpit area fits a little snug on me when fully zipped.  If I leave the jacket even slightly open, it's comfortable.  On the inside the sleeves are lined with fleece.  The same also goes for the back of the hoodie.  It will definitely keep me warm and cozy.  The thumbholes are a nice feature.  The fabric used for the cuff of the sleeves could be a little softer and a little more fitted.  I'm spoiled by the Scuba Hoodie cuffs.

I love that the hood isn't too big.  It's exactly the right size for my head.  Sometimes hoods can be hard to use if they flop around but that's not the case here.  There are also drawstrings to pull the hood even tighter if you want/need to.

The asymmetrical zipper makes this jacket a little more unique.  Overall I really love the look, the fit, and I know it will keep me toasty once the temperature drops in Atlanta.  Today it's still almost 80 degrees and a Scuba Hoodie is way too warm to wear.

As of right now, Athleta still has almost all sizes in stock in the black version.  The charcoal gray has all sizes available.  For $148, it can be a little steep, but if you're new to Athleta, you can receive $15 off your first order over $100 with my referral link.

That's all from me today.  Hope you all have a great weekend.  Let me know what you guys think of this sweatshirt/hoodie/jacket!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
