Fit Review Friday! Moments Like These Tank, The Everyday Skirt, Easy Going Hoodie

Happy Friday everyone! Just a heads up- I'll be in New York all of next week, so my posts may be a bit erratic. I did end up placing an ordering from Athleta as they had another markdown today. I have a pair of Wander Slim Straight Crops coming my way. They might be something I can wear to work for summer. The Athleta sale is definitely worth checking out!

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 and typically a size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms unless otherwise noted.

I was drawn to the graphite purple in the Moments Like These Tank from the instant I saw it uploaded. I am a fan of cupro because of how soft it is and the way it drapes. I found this tank to run true to size. The body of the tank is shapeless and billowy and the length is quite long. I do think this tank would look best tucked into a skirt or shorts for summer. Would also look great with jeans for fall. I think it would make a fantastic layering piece. This tank did arrive completely wrinkled out of the bag and I'm hoping I can get rid of the wrinkles after I wash and wear it. My other cupro tank did not have any wrinkling when it arrived so this is definitely careless packaging from Lululemon. Very unfortunate!

This tank goes well with a racerback bra which I recently bought from ThirdLove.

Next up I ordered The Everyday Skirt to try. I knew going in, this skirt would most likely be too long on my petite frame and of course I was right. I have zero skirts in my closet because of this!

I didn't find the smocking of the waistband to be flattering. It made my waist look wider and I also have hips so it really didn't do me any favors. I will say the skirt was comfortable and sometimes that is all that matters when it is brutally hot. Although, since it is black, maybe not so much, a lighter color would probably be best for summer. I also purchased this in the size 6 based on the reviews and I found the waistband to be comfortable. I didn't order my normal size 4 to compare, but since the 6 felt fine, I would have kept the size 6 if I liked it enough to keep. I think this skirt would look best on someone with a boyish figure and longer legs.

I always ask my husband for his opinion on purchases and he actually really liked this outfit on me. However, I showed it to my BFF and she said she thought the outfit looked frumpy and we had a good laugh about making #FrumpFashion a thing. What do you think of this outfit? Yay or Nay?

Last, we have the Easy Going Hoodie which just got uploaded to WMTM for $69. I returned this because I paid full price and didn't think it was worth $98. For $69, I would say while it's still on the expensive side, it's much easier to swallow.

I purchased this in a size 2, and I would say it's a size down item. The fit is very generous since the arm holes are huge. I loved the soft cotton textured feel of the fabric. It is medium weight and felt very cozy on. I think it is something that would be great to wear post workout. I did find the hood to be a little heavy and it would drag the neckline back and I felt like it was lightly choking me.

I liked the kangaroo pockets a lot though!

Out of this haul, I ended up keeping the Moments Like These Tank  I do not have a tank like that for summer and I just love the graphite purple. If the black ever ends up on WMTM I would purchase that as well. Speaking of WMTM, Scuba Hoodie in Heathered Mink Berry is on sale for $79 and Catch A Moment Zip Hoodie is on sale for $89. If anyone has this hoodie, let me know what you think of it!

That's all for me this week, have a great weekend everybody!

  1. I think the tank and skirt outfit looks cute on you, even if the skirt is a little long. However, it just doesn't look like your "style", at least as you show on this blog.

  2. The skirt is super cute but maybe with a more fitted top or a top that tucks in better. The tank drapes really pretty! The sleeveless hoodie doesn't seem very unique to me. A lot of brands do the drop armhole hoodie.

  3. Have you tried on the noir crops at lulu?

    1. Hi there,

I actually have tried the Noir Crops and they were pretty ridiculous on me, so much that I didn't bother doing a review! They were full length on my short legs and so wide, I literally laughed so hard and took them off right away.... not flattering for petites at all...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
