Happy Lunar New Year! It's the year of the Fire Horse which means this can be a very chaotic and intense year. Horse year has a lot of energy and to tame it down a notch I've been told to neutralize the choas by wearing earth tones; browns, greens, neutrals. 😮 Has anyone else heard this?  Back to today's post.   I can't believe I haven't been to Avalon in nearly two months. I have missed walking around and going into all the stores. Before I start this fit review, as I'm walking I could not believe my eyes when I saw there's going to be a Vuori store opening up soon! 😍 Expect more fit reviews from Vuori coming your way. Happy Friday! A few people asked me to write a post on how to care for your leather bags. Just for some background, I've been collecting bags since 2003. Which will mark 23 years this year. Crazy how time flies. My first bag was  a Icon messenger bag that I bought for $400 and back in the day this was a lot of money for me. Out of curiosity, that's about $705 in 2026. I thought it was the coolest looking bag I've ever seen.  The Navigator by Icon I still have the bag. I haven't used it in a long, long time. The leather has held up decently, I should probably condition it, otherwise leather can crack if it's dried out. I generally do not condition my bags unless they feel dry. Most brand new bags are ready to use without having to condition them. That said, my most recent purchase from Go Forth Goods needed conditioning right away.  Today's drop was depressing! Really think Lululemon has lost their way. We all want new designs and products but then they release something like the Cotton Twill Insulated Jacket.   It was my birthday weekend, but I'll probably extend it to the rest of the month! Because, why not? It'll be Valentine's Day (which we don't celebrate) but I'll include it just because. Lunar New Year is in 8 days, which I do celebrate and I'm definitely taking off work as a personal day.   Some of you may know I am a big Harry Potter fan and every year the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (ASO) will play a Harry Potter movie. It's almost always around my birthday. This has been a yearly tradition for us since 2018 which was when we saw the very first Harry Potter movie with the ASO. We have gone every year since and this year was the final movie of the series, The Deathly Hallows Part 2. It took us 9 years instead of 8 because of Covid in 2020. Everything was cancelled that year. I hope they restart the series next year. I will totally do it all over again! It was so much fun.  I would see this lovely couple at the show every time.
