Orlando Vacation Recap - We went to Epic Park!

I spent last week in Orlando! It was my first real vacation in about 5 years. Ever since my company started letting people work remotely (mainly because they had to in 2020 from the pandemic) I have always brought my work laptop with me. Crazy to think this is the first time I unplugged from work in 5 years. I even worked through the month I was in New York when my grandma was in the hospital and eventually passed away. There was just no one to cover me. This time my manager told me I needed to take a week off, she pretty much mandated I unplug. It was really nice not to have to work at all. I didn't even check my emails, which to be honest I am a little worried at how many emails I'll have waiting for me when I log in Monday morning. 😩

For a whole week, my sister, and her friend Kevin, Jared and I just ate our way through Orlando and spent a whole day at Epic Universe. Here are my photos from last week.

We stayed at a Marriott resort, which had a lazy river, a hot tub and a nice path where you can walk between other Marriott properties. There were tons of birds and a sign that let us know there were snakes and alligators which made me super paranoid when walking the path at night. 😬

I've somehow hit the bird watching stage of life already. It totally just happened out of nowhere.

Why are his wings so holey? 😢

I love palm trees. I want one in my backyard someday.

Tried Orlando dim sum at YH Seafood Clubhouse. Some dishes were really good, but the shrimp rice noodle rolls were too doughy and thick.

The last time we were in Orlando, we discovered this amazing ramen joint called DOMU that had the best wings and happy to announce our memory of how good this place was stayed true. The ramen is easily better than anything we can get in Atlanta. DOMU is a Michelin recommended restaurant.

Epic Universe!

I mainly wanted to go to the Ministry of Magic. I'm a pretty big Harry Potter fan and it did not disappoint. Inside of the Ministry of Magic was insane. I am so impressed with how detailed it was. I took a lot of video and will upload some clips to my Instagram stories because photos really does not do it justice.

Mac & Cheese cones. These were surprisingly good.

My sister and I got to meet Toothless! We waited until an hour before the park closed to do the meet and greet, otherwise it is a 90 minute wait during the day. If you go around 9 pm, the wait is just a few minutes. He is too friggin cute. So cute that I had to buy this backpack. It took up most of the room in my luggage. 😂

Yes I am still a kid.

I also really wanted this Harry Potter bear, but it was either him or Toothless. I'm sad that you can't buy him online. I did find him on eBay, so I might go that route. I'm a sucker for teddy bears and stuffed animals. Just ask Jared. 😆

Full moon.

More palm trees! 😍

Pio Pio is probably my favorite restaurant in Orlando. I aways get the chicken soup, plantains, rice and avocado for my meal.

Celebrated my sister's birthday at The Ravenous Pig. The food here was amazing! Another Michelin recommended restaurant.

Our last meal was at Jaleo. It's one of Jared's favorites.

The week flew! I guess when you're having fun time flies. It's too bad our flight going home was delayed 4 hours because of the government shutdown. We were at the airport for 8 hours. We got home at 1 am in the morning and I was so tired that I did not get to record my full review of Go Forth Good's Mini Hoffman bag. In the meantime I have a quick video showing my Go Forth Goods collection and will be reviewing each one soon! They're currently having their 30% off Black Friday sale until November 15th. I'm tempted to order another bag. 😂 That's it for me, hope you all have a wonderful week!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Review! Balenciaga Rodeo Bag Size Small Plus Video

You all know I love my bags, and as a Balenciaga collector, I don't often stray from the City and First style. The Rodeo (pronounced like Rodeo Drive) really caught my eye. It gives off a slouchy Hermes Kelly vibe, but way more practical to use.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall. Balenciaga Rodeo Bag Small The Rodeo can be carried a few ways. It comes with a crossbody strap that is not adjustable but it is removable. Not sure why anyone wouldn't add a few extra holes to make a strap adjustable these days. Come on Balenciaga! Do better! The top handle is a bit too long for this to work anyhow, I feel like the top handle gets in the way. It sticks out and doesn't sit well in my opinion. I wouldn't carry this bag crossbody unless it was an unforeseen emergency and I really needed my hands free. This bag looks more chic carried by the handle or crook of the arm. It also looks nice left open with the help of the flap tucked in. The Rodeo resembles the Kelly bag ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
