Fit Review Friday! Athleta Farallon Short, Farallon Jogger, Cabana Tunic Hoodie & Semi-Annual Sale !

Happy Friday everyone!! I decided August will be my no buy/low buy month. I usually do this every year, but didn't do it last year because of the pandemic. This year I think I need to re-access my closet. I have bought some much stay-at-home loungewear that my closet is getting very close to maxing out. I've been de-cluttering my house but my closet is still the main obstacle I can't seem to get through. I will continue to have reviews in August but it will be sprinkled with other topics focusing on health and my current exercise routine.

Today I have another Athleta review. Right now they are having their Semi-Annual sale. Definitely worth taking a look.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and wear a size 0 / 0P / XXS in Athleta. For Lululemon I typically wear size 4 in tops and bottoms.

I've covered the Farallon shorts and joggers before so I won't go into too many details here, but if you're interested in more check out my previous review. This is probably my favorite summer short. They're so comfy and the length isn't too long on my petite legs. They measure four inches long. The waist is super stretchy and has a drawcord to customize fit. Deep pockets are always a plus. The color is a heathered mocha latte which looks like a peach color in person. Fabric feels like a soft cotton twill and medium weight. I'm wearing size 0. Those smaller than a size 4 in Lululemon you may be sized out.

Next up we have the Farallon joggers which I love. My Camo Farallon joggers are probably my favorite after my Vuori joggers. I'm wearing size 0P in the mocha latte color.

These measure 25 inches long in the petite sizing which is my preferred length. The mocha latte color in the joggers give off a 70s vibe. I'm digging it. They work well with my Rothy's Lace Up. I have a feeling I'll be wearing these a lot more when fall comes around. They're just a little bit on the heavier side for summer.

This Cabana Tunic Hoodie was something I was curious about because it looks super comfortable and cute with leggings. It doesn't come in petite sizing but is offered in size XXS, so I decided to give it a try in Muted Lilac.

This definitely runs large. It's super soft and comfortable but I did find it to be a bit shapeless. The fabric is on the thicker side, similar to sweatshirt material. The sleeve hits my elbow which makes it a slightly weird length. The hem of the dress hits right above my knees with side slits. It does look stylish with leggings but I just wasn't convinced I would reach for this piece often enough even though it is on sale for $64.99. The color Muted Lilac is a light purple-almost a silver lilac. It is very pretty.

The hood is very cute on this tunic.

That's it for me! Hope you all have a fantastic weekend. Enjoy the summer weather, we're halfway through it!

  1. That jogger is cute and gorgeous! I think the tunic does not do you justice! I find long tunics overwhelm my frame. I think if some part of the tunic were more defined and less oversized it would be cute. I'm on a low-buy but it's mostly LLL low-buy (because I have way too much LLL) with some little spendings here and there like makeup and accessories.
Did you see the Get Centred hoodie on sale?? I want white opal but I could not keep that clean for the life of me. So I want the black... but it's still $100??

    1. Hi Janessa! Yep I saw the Get Centered Hoodie made it to WMTM this week. White Opal is really nice but I wouldn't be able to keep it clean either. Maybe pink or black? I ended up returning because I wasn't 100% sure I felt comfortable with the front cut out.

  2. Hi Leslie~ Happy Friday! Thanks for another Athleta review! They're supposed to begin selling online in Canada in August and will open their first stores in Sep. I look forward to trying some of their clothes. I think your Farallon jogger looks great with the Rothy's lace ups!

I was wondering, have you tried the Salutation jogger? I'm curious how the material and fit compare to the Align jogger. Thanks! Have a great day!

    1. Happy Friday Karen!! I have tried on the Salutation Joggers. Here's my review from last year.

The PXS fit well and the fabric does remind me of Nulu but not quite as buttery but it's close. I ended up returning because the pockets flared out on me. Not sure if it's because of my hips but it's worth trying though.

I was thinking of putting together a post with all of my Athleta reviews in one for my Canadian friends that are FINALLY getting Athleta! Maybe I'll start working on that and have it up by August!

    2. Thanks, Leslie! The PXS does fit you well, hitting at full-length. I can see what you mean about the pocket puckering. I think I'll have to try it on myself. If you put together a comprehensive review on Athleta, I would appreciate it for sure. Have a great weekend!

  3. Thanks for all the Althela reviews, Leslie! I will definitely check them out again when Althleta is here in Canada! :)

I love how the short and jogger look on you, but like Janessa said the tunic doesn’t do you justice. It’s not petite friendly in my opinion.

    Have a wonderful weekend!

    1. Hi Andrea! Yes returning the tunic was the right call. Definitely too big even in the XXS. The joggers and the shorts are some of my favorites from Athleta. =) Have a nice weekend as well!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
