Fit Review Friday! Perfectly Oversized Cropped Crew Softstreme, Ventlight Cargo Mid Rise Crop, Align Tank, Ebb To Street Crop Tank

Happy Friday! The lighting wasn't so great today, but I didn't want to disappoint you guys if I didn't get this review up. The photos are a little on the dark side. I tried to adjust some of the colors but the Tidewater  Teal doesn't look exactly right for the Ventlight Cargo Crop. Apologies in advance!

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches and typically size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms unless otherwise noted.

I have real love for last year's Soft Ambitions Crop Crew, the fabric is the softest and most comfiest thing I own. So when the Perfectly Oversized Cropped Crew Softstreme was released a few weeks ago, I had to try it. I admit, I wasn't too crazy about the Trench color, but after seeing it in person, I kind of like it. I also sized down to a 0 from my usual size 4 because of how oversized the fit of the Perfectly Oversized Crew that I reviewed in my normal size.

Turns out the size 0 is almost perfect. The length hits the top of my hips and the sleeves are just a smidge too long but not enough for it to bother me. I was a little worried the neck opening would be small, but it's actually not restricting at all. The color Trench is actually a pretty nice neutral, I don't think it washes me out which is what I was worried about. It also looks great paired with Tidewater Teal.

The fit is still slightly oversized even in the 0 but I dig the look. It's probably my favorite pullover at the moment! I do have the size 0 coming in the Tidewater Teal as well. I ordered it this morning. I am trying to decide if I want to keep the Trench color. What do you think?

I have not tried on a pair of Lululemon pants in a long time. The Ventlight Cargo Mid Rise Crop in Tidewater Teal looked really cute online so I decided to give it a try. Plus the inseam is 26 inches which is petite friendly. I'm wearing my usual size 4. I'm also a little fluffy from all the eating I've done the past 2 weeks in NYC. 😆

Also wearing Rothy's Lace Ups

These are mid-rise and the waistband can be pulled up a little bit so it sits higher, but I prefer it to be underneath my belly button. The back of the pants have an elastic section which is actually pretty stretchy. While the front of the pant has a lot of potential, the back of these were a hot mess. At least on me they were too baggy and not flattering at all. They also arrived super wrinkly, even though the description says these are supposed to be wrinkle free. These are straight leg but they almost pass for wide leg on me.

These have a snap closure which I don't love.

There's also a zippered side pocket that's pretty deep, I can fit my entire hand in it.

This is made of Ventlight fabric which is also abrasion resistant. The fabric itself is lightweight and very breathable. They feel soft but with a slight texture to it. Overall, these run fairly large. I'm not sure if I personally could fit into a size 2 right now because of all the eating I've done, but if you're in-between sizes definitely size down.

Some of you may know I have a love hate relationship with the Align Tank. I love them for my workouts but the removable cups always move around which annoys me so I just wear them without the inserts.

And of course the inserts always arrive lumpy! I haven't decided if I will keep either of the Align Tanks since I also got the Ebb To Street Racerback Crop Tank in Tidewater Teal. I am wearing my usual size 6, but this one feels a little larger than my black one. Which tank do you prefer? Help me decide!

(Those lines on my arm are sleep lines. 😂)

That's it for me! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

  1. I used to LOVE align tanks now I have a love hate relationship with them too! I love how they look but they're so fitted that I have to be in the mood for a tight shelf bra and waist. I cover my outfits with a scuba 1/2 and POC anyways so I often just throw on a non LLL tank or shirt and not even bother with a bra.
I love how trench looks on you!Yay it doesn't wash you out like you thought it would! Even though it's a great neutral you should probably keep TT because it's your favorite color and LLL keeps making these nude colors. You could easily find another pullover in a similar shade! Also if I'm not mistaken I think you have the SA pullover in beechwood? So I vote TT :D
I like both tanks on you! It depends if you currently wear more high neck or lower necklines more.
    Happy weekend!

    1. Hi Janessa! Good point, I definitely would reach for the Ebb To Street Tank more. It's not as fitted as the Align Tank and a bit more casual to wear and can also use for working out.

Yes I do have Beechwood in the SA Pullover. Trench definitely has more brown tones. But they are in the same family for sure.

      Have a great weekend!!

  2. What really bothers me about Align Tank is the tight waist on me. It bunches up as soon as I start to move. I only have it in black after selling Ancient Copper. I remind myself to not buy another one ever again, lol. ETS Crop Tank in TT looks cute on you. Keep it if you like it.

I like the POCCS in Trench on you. Is Softstreme as soft as last year's Soft Amibition Crop Crew?

    1. Hi AmherstLulu, good question! The Softstreme is as soft as the SA Crop Crew, it feels like the same material but I do think Softstreme is a little thinner than SA Crop Crew, which is fine with me.

I think I'll keep the ETS Crop Tank and return the Aligns. Thanks!

  3. I like how the Ventlight Cargo Mid Rise Crop Tidewater Teal looks on you in the front and even the side (I don’t mind wider leg pants) but the back is a hot mess like you said! Just too bad cos it would’ve made a nice pair of casual pants.

I prefer the Ebb To Street Racerback Crop Tank Top Tidewater Teal on you but the wide band does bother me ...

    1. Hi Andrea! Yes I was hoping to find a nice pair of summery casual pant but this one really was a disappointing fit!

The band does show through on the ETS Crop Tank. I have the black one and that one it is not noticeable... but TIdewater Teal is just so pretty! =D

  4. hi Leslie~ The Perfectly Oversized Cropped Crew Softstreme in size 0 fits you well! I prefer TT on you, but Trench is nice too! Now if only this style comes in Dusky Lavender...one can only dream!

Thanks for the fit review on the Ventlight Cargo Mid Rise Crop! It's wider than expected. I agree on your call to return!

I like all three tanks on you! Personally, I prefer the ETS crop because I prefer the slightly longer length, but really, you look great in both styles~

    1. Yes! If they release this POC Crew in more colors I might be tempted to get more. We'll see! I ended up keeping ETS Crop and returned the other two tanks.

Thanks so much Karen! Hope you have a fantastic weekend.

We tried HelloFresh for the past two months - Here's our review

Hi everyone! This post is written by my husband. Some of you may know he does all the cooking around here. 😅 We noticed we were spending a lot of money on food and eating out every month and wanted to see if a meal kit service would save us money and time. After looking at a few meal kit services we settled on HelloFresh. Without further ado, here's Jared's review. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As you may have seen from Leslie's Instagram stories for the past 2 months, we've been using HelloFresh for most of our meals. The main drivers for this were to better track what we eat and because on the advice of my doctor, I should be eating more home cooked meals. Before I go any further, it should be noted that my original career path was in culinary arts, but twists and turns in life changed that. So I do have formal cooking experience. A little background story. Over the years, I've developed a love/hate relationship with c

Happy May! Can't believe summer is right around the corner. I'm looking forward to visiting my family later this month. It's been nearly a year since I've been back to NYC.
