Fit Review Friday! Cool Racerback Nulu Race Length Diamond Dye & Ready To Rulu 7/8 Jogger

Happy Friday! First week of January is over, and what a week it was. I've got a couple of new items for review. One of them is by request. Hope you enjoy reading and let me know what you think!

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically a size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.

Diamond Dye Graphite Gray Size 6

I'm normally a size 4 in tanks but for the Cool Racerback I like to size up to a 6 because of how fitted it is. The fabric is the buttery Nulu which I personally love. I've never tried the race length before in any of Lululemon's tops and I am loving it! Normally the CRB is super long on me. If you're interested to see the difference in length, I have a review of the regular CRB here. It is really long on me.

I think it's the perfect length. The length measures 19 inches from the top to bottom. Definitely a keeper and I think if you're petite, give it a try! Price is a somewhat reasonable at $48. I wish I had snagged this on sale like some of you.

Next up we have the Ready To Rulu 7/8 Jogger which was requested. They're currently out of stock. I managed to snag one- likely a return one early morning when I was randomly checking the app. I ordered my regular size 4.

Ready To Rulu 7/8 Jogger Graphite Gray Size 4
(Currently Out of Stock)

Let's go over some numbers first. These are high-rise and the rise measures about 9.5 inches. The inseam on the size 4 measures 27.5 inches. The cuff at the ankle measures 4.75 inches across. The fabric is Rulu and it feels very soft. It also has a brushed feel. These are mid weight joggers and perfect for fall/winter temperatures. There's a drawstring at the waist to get the perfect fit. I would say these are true to size.

The length is actually okay, which is surprising. I would say these are petite friendly, I just wish the leg was a little more tapered towards the ankle. The extra fabric above the cuff could possibly be taken in if you find a good tailor. I ended up sending these back though. I definitely prefer the fit of my Vuori joggers.

(I have a review of these coming up soon.)

That's it for me! Hope everyone has a great weekend. 😊

  1. Happy Friday! I was super curious about the RTR 7/8 but too bad the ankles are loose! My Scuba joggers are loose at the ankles too and bunches up but I still like them. Definitely would be so much more flattering in petite sizing. I think diamond dye is so pretty! Now that I've gotten a few colored DD pieces on sale I wish I got the graphite gray diamond dye too

    1. I've always been a fan of diamond dye. I have I think 4 pieces in different color ways. Maybe 2021 Lulu will bring on Asia fit to the US!

  2. Thank you for the fit review! The R2R 7/8 has potential. Is it as think as the Scuba Jogger? I have the Scuba Jogger, which is a bit long but perfect for the New England winter and I live in it. The CRB racer length fits beautifully on you. I have to wait for a markdown. The Rothy's Lace Up sneakers look so cool. I can't wait for your review, but my wallet says no rush lol.

    1. The joggers definitely has potential. I would say the Scuba is probably cozier just because it has the fleece lining.

I was surprised at how much I like the Rothy's Lace Ups and surprisingly comfy!

  3. Thank you for the fit review. Are those the full length R2R? Do you remember I asked if you about another style of jogger but now i can't seem to find them on the website. they kinda looked ruched on the sides of the bottoms. maybe they sold out??

    1. Yes I have the Beyond The Studio 7/8 Jogger in my cart! I haven't placed an order yet. But will soon.

  5. The top part of the jogger fits beautifully but sadly the bottom is a tad wide and the cuff too loose. Would’ve been perfect if the shape tapers towards the cuff.

I love Diamond Dye Prints and have three pairs of bottoms in different color combo. The Cool Racerback Tank in racer length looks amazing on you and the length is perfect! I do yoga and prefer the length to be longer, but the original Cool Racerback is a bit too long for my liking. :(

    1. Yes, I'm always disappointed with Lulu joggers. They never work out for me.

Love the CRB, now I know to aim for the race length. The original is too long on me too. Maybe have them hemmed?

  6. hi Leslie! The Racelength CRB looks great on you! I agree that the Vuori joggers fit you better than the RTR 7/8. Oh, by the way, I read on reddit today that the chambray RTR 7/8 has a tighter cuff than the graphite grey. The cuff of the chambray pair is similar to full-length RTR. Here's the post:

I don't think chambray will work for me, but perhaps others are interested! Have a great weekend!

    1. Thanks Karen for the link! Good to know about the Chambray. I will probably just stick to my Vuori joggers though, they have a nice blue that looks a little like chambray as well.

    2. wow! So many colour options in the US! In Canada, I've only seen black, camo and grey. That's probably good for my wallet though =)

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
