Fit Review Friday! J.Crew Fall Blazers

Happy Friday everyone! I can't believe it's already the 7th of September. This year is flying by. I mean wasn't it just January? I am happy that fall is coming. It's my favorite time of the year and it's when I spend probably the most money on clothing. It's a good thing I went on a ban last month. So I couldn't wait to share with you photos from my J.Crew order.  Right now J.Crew is offering 40% off your purchase with code FALLTIME.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11.

I really love this Regent Blazer in navy. In this blazer I'm wearing a size petite 2. I would say this is true to size. My bra size is a 32A and this fits me very well with a little bit of room to spare. I don't like to feel restricted in the shoulders and arms. Sleeve length is perfect.

This blazer is made of soft wool flannel and happy to report it is not itchy at all. The popped collar can be turned down which is how I prefer to wear it. If I leave it standing up it hits my neck at an uncomfortable place. The popped collar looks fine, it just bothers me whenever I turn my head. There is also a contrast trim around the collar that makes this blazer look more modern and less traditional. I don't love it, but I also don't hate it. It's definitely different.

What do you think of the gray trim?

This blazer will elevate any casual outfit and can also be worn to work. I've already pulled the tags off of this one and wore it to the office. As a receptionist I have to look sharp! This will be a nice addition to my fall wardrobe.

Collar up!

I liked how the Parke Blazer looked online in heather caramel, but this color has never worked for me. I decided to try it again just to make sure.

Yep, still doesn't work with my skin tone.

This blazer I tried a petite 0, just to see how it fit and it's too tight in the shoulders and arms. Definitely too small for me. The color isn't flattering and it wasn't comfortable. I couldn't wait to get this off! I should have stuck to my gut and ordered it in petite 2.

It's a classic fit blazer and more traditional than the Regent Blazer. Sleeves are once again the perfect length. This is definitely one of the reasons why I love J.Crew so much. They are spot on with petite sizing. Would I have liked this blazer if it actually fit? Probably! But in a different color for sure.

Last but not least we have the Going Out Blazer. While this comes in petite, I opted for the regular size 0. Why? Because of the cropped sleeves. I find cropped sleeves to be very weird. I prefer normal length sleeves, so I ordered a regular size 0. And what do you know? They are perfect! 😂

This blazer is an open front with no closure. Because of that it feels very comfortable and relaxed fit. There's no collar and gives it a very stream lined look. This is not your traditional blazer but still perfect for going to work. It also works well for date night over a pretty blouse, some skinny jeans and heels.

The quality of this blazer is amazing. It feels even better than it looks if you can believe that. The second I touched the fabric, I was like oooooooh. Definitely leaning towards keeping this one as well, but how many navy blazers does one need?

I do wish J.Crew would release their blazers in more colors than just black, navy and caramel. I'm tempted to keep this one but haven't pulled the tags off just yet. I still have my eye on a couple of other pieces such as the Margot Cropped Sweater Blazer and this Oversized Blazer in herringbone.

That's all for me! Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend! I have a wedding to go to on Sunday and Simi is going to her very first vet visit since we took her home. We are just taking her in for a check up to make sure everything is still fine. The doctor will probably tell us she needs to go on a diet though. 😱

  1. The first Jacket looks perfect on you! It’s sleek and fits like a glove! I don’t care about the grey stand up collar but then I don’t dislike it. Definitely a keeper!

I hate to say that but camel doesn’t work that well on us Asian people, plus this camel color is kind of heavy and dull.

The third Jacket looks nice on you too but I personally am not fond of collarless Jacket. I think you made a right decision picking regular sizing cos I do dislike Jacket with cropped sleeves. The length kind of look embarrassing in my opinion.

If you are only keeping one Jacket, I would go for the first one. :)

P.S. I have no idea why Jacket has to be in capital letter. Silly auto-correct!

    1. Thank you! I'm still debating on the Going Out Jacket. I think I'm going to order it in the gray and see if I like that as much as the navy.

It's too bad camel doesn't work on asian skin, the color is so pretty to me!

  2. I like both navy jackets on you. Maybe exchange on of the navy's for black? They fit great!

    1. Thank you! I am ordering the Going Out Jacket in gray to see. For some reason I try and stay away from black as much as possible. so we'll see if the gray is as nice as the navy.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
