Fit Review Friday! Blissful Zen Sweater So Merlot & Midnight Navy / Vinyasa Scarf Heathered Auburn

Happy Friday everyone! This week has been a rough week for me. I've been on a shopping spree the past few days just trying to distract myself. So my one item a month has totally gone out the window. I'll try and get back on track next month. I'm at least still doing my Alexia Clark workouts.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 and typically a size 4 in Lululemon's tops.

I've been really curious about this sweater and wanted to see it for myself after reading the reviews. It seems like people either love it or hate it. I really love the color so merlot, but didn't really like the design of the sweater too much. From the front it reminds me of religious robes! The merino wool is actually not as soft as I expected and it's also on the thin side. It wasn't scratchy, but it just didn't feel luxurious.

The slit really does go all the way up to the armpit, and this unfortunately was a deal breaker for me. I don't think I would wear this out casually. So back it went.

Sizing on this was a little tricky for me. I ordered a size 2 and 4 to see which one I would prefer. If I'm wearing just a tank top underneath, the size 2 is perfectly fine. However if I put on a short sleeve tee, it felt too tight in the armpit area and the size 4 felt better. But the size 4 from the back looks completely shapeless. Between the two colors, I think midnight navy looked better on me, but so merlot on its own is such a gorgeous color. In the end I decided to return both sweaters. I wasn't 100% sold on either one.

I did however end up keeping the Vinyasa Scarf in heathered auburn. It's super soft and the color is very pretty.

That's it for me! I'm waiting for my Lululemon order to come in, and if this weekend isn't rainy I have another photo shoot coming up. Hope you all have a great weekend!

  1. Love the Vinyasa! I agree on the sweaters, not very wearable!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
