Ice Cream Review! Arctic Zero in Purely Chocolate

Last year, I posted a review of Halo Top. I was unimpressed and never bought it again. This year, I kept seeing Arctic Zero at my local supermarket and decided to give it a try. The main reason I really didn't like Halo Top is because of the dry and flaky consistency it has. It does not resemble ice cream at all. Seriously. Arctic Zero has the word creamy right next to their name on the packaging. That piqued my interest right away. It's also gluten free, lactose free, fat free, and gmo free. So what exactly is in it?

See? It says CREAMY.

It says it's only 35 calories per serving. Zero calories from fat. Anything that has zero fat calories always makes me suspicious. It has only 5 grams of sugar and 3 grams of protein. Since I had a bad experience with Halo Top, I will admit I didn't have high hopes for this one either. However, I will always try something at least once.

Nutrition Facts

Now the ingredients list is pretty long. It's got a bunch of things I don't even know how to pronounce and that's usually a bad thing. AmIRight?

Ingredients List

What was my first spoonful of purely chocolate Arctic Zero like? First, the texture is definitely waaaaay more creamy than Halo Top. They get points for that. As for tasting like chocolate? It was more like super watered down chocolate. Like maybe it had 1% chocolate in there somewhere if you really had to think about it.

You look good, but you did not taste good.

Verdict? I had one spoonful of this and I couldn't even take another bite. It was that bad. Sad, because now it will sit in my freezer forever and ever. Sigh. My friend Will suggested I try Yasso Frozen Bars. They're only 100 calories per serving. Not super healthy but it's not bad for what it is. Apparently salted caramel is the one to try. It is next on my list!

So, of course after that awful spoonful of not what I would call chocolate ice cream at all, I needed some of the real stuff. Green tea ice cream is almost healthy, right? I'm just kidding, it's really not healthy at all!

As you can see this stuff is bad.

I mean, look at that sugar. 20 grams of it! 250 calories per serving and 150 of those are fat. Yikes. Here's the thing. If I buy a pint of ice cream, I try and make it last 2 weeks. What I'll do is if I'm really craving it after dinner, I'll take a couple of spoonfuls and then put it back in the fridge. Sometimes I'll even forget about it for a week.

At least I can pronounce all the ingredients.

Damn look at that creamy green goodness. That's what I'm talking about.

In other news, I went to Avalon today to do a little shopping. Lululemon had nothing new for me to try on. However I did go into Athleta and picked up another Studio Wrap. I've got three of these now.  I just added charcoal heather to my collection. They just released a few more new colors. I think I may also get the heathered navy and the marled gray heather looks nice. I actually wear these to work a lot so I'm getting a lot of mileage out of these. I love how soft and cozy they are.

That's it for me! Hope you all had a great weekend and here's to an awesome Monday!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
