Fit Review Friday! In Power Mid Rise Crop 24

Happy Friday and I can't believe it's also May 1st. How crazy is that? March felt like it passed so slowly and April went by so fast. It's interesting how highly adaptable we are.

This is a short review and before I begin I have to apologize for how wrinkled my gray tee is! I laughed when I saw the photos afterwards. 😂

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically a size 4 in Lululemon bottoms.

I was curious to see if these crops would be petite friendly since they have a 24 inch inseam. My inseam is around 26 inches or so. I knew these would hit around my ankles and sure enough they do. I'm wearing my usual size 4 and I found these to run a bit large. There's a good chance I could have sized down to a 2.

They do look good with my Allbird Tree Breezers!

It was just a bit too big everywhere. That said, these are mid rise and the waistband hit right under my belly button. There are two side pockets. It has a hook and eye closure, which I'm a fan of. The fabric is smooth and sweat wicking although I can't see myself ever working out in these pants. I will say they are stretchy and very comfortable. I wish they were more flattering on me.

Down by the zipper is a quote that says "Live In Practice". Interesting little detail there. I ended up returning these but I am curious if a size 2 would have been better for me because these would have been great for the office. It has two other great reviews from other petite gals on the website.

I have some reviews coming up next week featuring a cute pair of tights and a crop top! I don't think I've ever reviewed a crop top before, so that's something new and out of my comfort zone. Stay tuned. That is it for me! Have a great weekend everyone! Stay safe.

(That's a really pretty purple. Never noticed this sweater before?)

(This looks like a very comfy stay at home top.)

(Let's talk about this scarf for a minute, I am super tempted because it's practically half off, but still fairly pricey. I love the color and apparently the fabric is amazing but I wish Lulu would list the dimensions. Anyone have it? Any thoughts?)

  1. I’m interested in getting the Key to Your Heart Wrap too but I haven’t seen Ink Blue in person and the color seems to look different on different items. Not sure if I should take a chance.

Thanks for the fit review cos I would never have thought of getting the In Power Mid Rise Crop, I agree that size 2 might have fitted you better but overall speaking the crop looks nice on you. I will check the product details out on the website.

    Have a nice weekend! :)

  2. Those crops with the All Birds look fabulous! I think a size 2 would be better. I'm interested in the Urban Strides pants on WMTM! But they're final sale and still $89. HMM!

    1. Hi! FWIW i bought the Urban Strides pants when they were full price and i love them! They are very high rise but super flattering with the seam details. At 5' the hit meet like a full length pant so i had them hemmed as i prefer the 7/8 look for this style. Well definately buy the other colour now that they are on wmtm because they are great dressed up for work or casual. Hope you love them if you get them!

    2. Those look nice too, but I try to stay away from super high rise. The seam details do look like they would elongate petite legs though!

    3. Hi trilikemary! Thanks for your thoughts on them! I think I might get them. If I do I'll post about how I like it in the comments on some future posts here :P.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
