Fit Review! Athleta Brooklyn Ankle Pant & Trekkie Hybrid Crop Tight

Hi everyone! Hope everyone is having a nice weekend. I stopped by the Lululemon store but sadly they did not have anything new that I was looking for. So instead, I have for you a short Athleta review!

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 and typically a size 4 in Lululemon bottoms. For Athleta this translates to a size 0 or 0P.

First thing, I really loved the stretchy flat waistband. I found it to be very comfortable. The size 0 fit perfectly at the waist. The color is also something I really loved too. It is a very pretty shade of mauve/brown. Looks very nice in person. The fabric is super lightweight stretch that reminds me of swift fabric, and very comfortable. It feels weightless. My only complaint is the length. At 27 inches, it's too long for my short legs. Luckily these come in petite sizes! The length on the petite version is 25 inches, which still might be a little too long, but I'm going to give it a try.

I also really like the subtle stripe running down the pant leg.

Next up we have the Trekkie Hybrid Crop Tight. I'm wearing a size 0 but this feels a smidge too tight in the waistband for me. I would still consider it true to size though. This is a high-rise fit with the waist sitting right at my belly button. The back of the waist band sits even higher. I found it a little uncomfortable.

Very high back.

It is fitted through the legs, and then straight down to the ankle. The length is too long on me and but they do have this in petite sizes as well. I wasn't 100% in love with the fit though.

I have them cuffed here.

I definitely am going to order the Brooklyn Ankle Pant to try. Hoping the 0P works. I love the color too much not to give it a go! What do you think of them? Yay or nay? That's it for me! Here's to another fabulous Monday.

  1. Love the color of the Ankle Pant and it matches your Allbirds running shoes perfectly! :). The fit is nice and hope size 0P fits better on the length.

  2. I like the Brooklyn Ankle Pant on you! I have a bunch of Athleta gear in that mineral brown color. I might be kind of obsessed with it. :D

  3. I do hope the Brooklyn ankle pants work for you in the petite size! I love that Athleta makes a lot of pants for us shorties. I have the Brooklyn ankle pants in black and in an olive green. They are my favorite pants for warmer weather.

I haven't tried the tights you did, but I have the Headlands Hybrid Trek Tights and have constantly worn them this winter. Checking Athleta's website, there don't seem to be many left, especially not in petite sizes. I also like the Headlands Hybrid Cargo Tights.

    1. I was thinking of getting it in the black as well. Hmmmm will have to sit on it. I did see the Hybrid Cargo Tights but wasn't sure I liked the pockets. Maybe I'll give it a go next time I'm there!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
