What We Love! February 12th 2016

This week is all about running in the rain.  I hate the rain, so you will not find me running in it, ever.  Kudos to everyone who can run in the rain, snow, ice, sleet.  I just won't do it.  The 5 mile LS is pretty but looks super thin.  Also not crazy about the stripes on the CRB.  Hopefully this will be another easy week for me!

  1. I've run in the worst weather. The WORST! But no more. I don't like wet running shoes. And other than feeling mentally stronger, there's not much physical gain - just physical risk! So none of these items are tempting me. Lululemon will not get my money this month...but maybe other boutiques will. :(

    1. I agree about the physical risks, it would just be my luck that I would slip and fall and bust my knees! Not worth it. Stay strong we are almost halfway there!

  2. I recently renovated my bedroom. The simple act of consolidating all my clothes made me realize that I have waaaaaaay too much lulu. I honestly think my interest in lulu will drastically decline and stay that way long after February. So I will live precariously through you. Lol. My interest has waned so much that when DH and I were at the mall today and he asked if I wanted to visit "my store"....I declined. Not one smidge of interest or desire. :( But if he asked me if I wanted to visit a luxury bag store, that would be an entirely different story! Lol. A girl can dream.

    1. Oh nice! I'll be moving in another month or so, I'm going to have a walk in closet which I'm super excited about! That's how I feel about Anthropologie these days, I don't even want to go in... but Lulu still has my attention, I went in today but didn't see anything I wanted to try on. Now are you the type that wants the luxury store experience? Talking to the sales walking out with the shopping bag? Or are you fine with purchasing online?

  3. Hmmmm. I generally feel uncomfortable in fancy stores. In fact, I don't ever go in. But I do appreciate well made, beautiful items. I'd probably go in to the store though, for fear of fedex losing my package. Lol.
I used to shop at Anthropologie as well. That was an expensive lesson in what-not-to-buy. The only things I really wore and have kept are my denim and a couple coats. Otherwise, lots of money spent and lost at anthro. :(

    1. The bag I'm currently obsessed with? There's a brand new one just listed on eBay for $1250 and she's taking offers. So tempted! But I should be good.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
