Happy Friday! This is my first clothing purchase for 2026. Banana Republic really has my attention lately, especially their leather and suede jackets. Ever since I bought their distressed flight jacket , I've been obsessed. It's no surprise that this textured suede jacket caught my eye. For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size XXS or PXS in Banana Republic. I also wear size PXS in Athleta and 4/6 or XS/S in Lululemon. I wasn't sure what to expect with textured suede, so the first thing I noticed is how it feels. It does feel a little rough. It makes sense since it's textured. I'm not sure what it was treated with to give it texture, but it isn't the soft suede that everyone is used to. If you're looking for that soft suede, this is not it. Ahhhh another week, and finally a drop with some new designs but the prices have gone up so much that I'm just going to be extremely picky about what I buy these days. Now that my No-Buy month is officially over, my first purchase was not Lululemon, but from Banana Republic! 😳 I still have Twig on my brain, but I'm trying to patiently wait for it to go on sale. It's already February and spring is right around the corner for us who live in the south (I hope anyway, this winter has been really unusually cold) and I would probably get more use out of the AEJ, but part of me really wants the soft Wunder Puff vest! I could order both and just return one, but I am also afraid I might want to keep both which is a high possibility. I hate when I have to make decisions!
