New Releases Week of February 10th 2026

Today's drop was depressing! Really think Lululemon has lost their way. We all want new designs and products but then they release something like the Cotton Twill Insulated Jacket. I mean what is that?! 😂 So nothing for me this week! My No-Buy challenge has extended itself well into February now, and not on purpose either. There just isn't anything enticing enough for me to use one of my 24 slots for the year. This may be easier than I thought!  Cotton Twill Insulated Jacket Camel Brown Rain Rebel Jacket Porcelain Pink (This is cute, if only it were offered in Asia fit.) Define Jacket Pink Pearl Nulu Racerback Bralette Trim Stripe Burgundy Bay (I'm in the market for bralettes, this is intriguing.) Like A Cloud Bra Pink Pearl Focuser High Neck Bra Black Focuser Scoop Neck Bra Pink Pearl Ebb To Street Cropped Tank Oxford Red New From Athleta Btw, I got really annoyed at Athleta for sending me five emails a day, so I unsubscribed from their mailing list. Now I have to active...

My Birthday Weekend!

It was my birthday weekend, but I'll probably extend it to the rest of the month! Because, why not? It'll be Valentine's Day (which we don't celebrate) but I'll include it just because. Lunar New Year is in 8 days, which I do celebrate and I'm definitely taking off work as a personal day.   Some of you may know I am a big Harry Potter fan and every year the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (ASO) will play a Harry Potter movie. It's almost always around my birthday. This has been a yearly tradition for us since 2018 which was when we saw the very first Harry Potter movie with the ASO. We have gone every year since and this year was the final movie of the series, The Deathly Hallows Part 2. It took us 9 years instead of 8 because of Covid in 2020. Everything was cancelled that year. I hope they restart the series next year. I will totally do it all over again! It was so much fun.  I would see this lovely couple at the show every time. Mad Eye Moody and Professor M...

Happy Friday! Fit Review Banana Republic Textured Suede Jacket

Happy Friday! This is my first clothing purchase for 2026. Banana Republic really has my attention lately, especially their leather and suede jackets. Ever since I bought their distressed flight jacket , I've been obsessed. It's no surprise that this textured suede jacket caught my eye. For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size XXS or PXS in Banana Republic. I also wear size PXS in Athleta and 4/6 or XS/S in Lululemon. Textured Suede Jacket Dark Caramel Size XXS Love the pockets. 😍 My studio/office is still not ready yet, so I improvised with these fit photos. I wasn't sure what to expect with textured suede, so the first thing I noticed is how it feels. It does feel a little rough. It makes sense since it's textured. I'm not sure what it was treated with to give it texture, but it isn't the soft suede that everyone is used to. If you're looking for that soft suede, this is not it.  I'm wearing size XXS and the fit is almost...

New Releases Week of February 3rd 2026

Ahhhh another week, and finally a drop with some new designs but the prices have gone up so much that I'm just going to be extremely picky about what I buy these days. Now that my No-Buy month is officially over, my first purchase was not Lululemon, but from Banana Republic! 😳 I still have Twig on my brain, but I'm trying to patiently wait for it to go on sale. It's already February and spring is right around the corner for us who live in the south (I hope anyway, this winter has been really unusually cold) and I would probably get more use out of the AEJ, but part of me really wants the soft Wunder Puff vest! I could order both and just return one, but I am also afraid I might want to keep both which is a high possibility. I hate when I have to make decisions! So I am going to leave both in my cart, for now. If you were on the No-Buy challenge with me, have you bought anything yet?    Rulu Drapey OS HR Jogger Burgundy Bay (Love the color, but also very I Dream Of Jeannie)...

Jared Post - Our New Home and How IKEA Furnishes It

Hello there. Leslie’s husband doing the post today. For those that are new to Leslie’s site, occasionally she’ll have me write a post. In the past, I’ve written about our experiences with meal delivery services such as HelloFresh or when I covered for her while she was away to take care of her grandma for a stretch of time. You all seemed to like how I covered the weekly drops. She wanted to cover our recent move and go into a bit of detail into why we tend to favor IKEA and our thinking behind some of our purchases. In the past when people would visit our place, they would be surprised that nearly 80% of our furniture comes from IKEA. Now I know IKEA gets a lot of shit (I mean, just look at this “Fight Club” scene from 1999 ) and has this reputation of being the place where you go to furnish your dorm room or your first apartment/house, but you can have a lot of IKEA items and not have it feel like an extension of their showrooms. Before I dive in, I can’t believe how much I’m ...
