Happy Friday! Last weekend I went by Lululemon just to see if there was anything I was interested in to do a try-on. I didn't realize there was an updated Dance Studio Short so I grabbed that to try.
For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4/6 and XS/S in Lululemon. I also wear size PXS in Athleta.
When I saw the Hold Tight Crewneck Tank Top Surround Stripe hanging on the rack, I thought it would look nice paired with the Dance Studio Evolve HR Relaxed Short 3.5" in Downtown Tan.
I'm wearing size 6 in the Hold Tight Crewneck Tank Top and it's fitted but still very comfortable. I love the Hold Tight fabric. It's so soft, it's like wearing comfy lounge clothing. I do hear that the fabric can pill, but it's so soft it might be worth it. 😅
The store didn't have size XS in the Dance Studio Shorts, so I am wearing a size Small and it is slightly loose on me. I did not like the added ruffles to the back of the short. It's super unflattering! I definitely prefer the original Dance Studio HR Short. The front looks to be about the same as the original version.
I was tempted to leave with the tank as it looked good paired with an old Athleta Wide Leg Pant I bought years ago. Decided I had enough tanks for now. 😅
Also spotted the Ruched Convertible Crossbody Bag in Light Ivory. It's still one of my favorite Lululemon bags. I was hoping Lulu would release one in a darker purple, but so far no luck.

Love the wide leg pants! I have yet to find a pair that works for me but those look good
ReplyDeleteHi AC! Thanks! Sadly these wide legs are old. I've had them for a long time and sadly Athleta doesn't currently have anything similar. 😕But agree, it's really hard to find wide legs that look good on petite frames.

ReplyDeleteI ended up getting a pair of F&F in clubhouse blue in the summer sale. I bought a love tee in pink flare and I saw someone pair it with clubhouse blue shorts. I liked the pairing, so I thought the F&F with it could be a good one. I already have a pair of true navy shorts and I'm trying to break my cycle of excess (multiple pairs of the same item in slightly different shades, lol) I also got another Flexyflex bra in the sale. I love how comfortable they are! I'm not sure about the glued seams long term, so I'm limiting those purchases too. I had a cloud bra recently fall apart, so I know those seams can disintegrate over time.
Hi Stacy! Sounds like you got a nice summer haul. So far I bought a pair of boat shoes from Banana Republic and I placed an order for a Vuori Hoodie. Trying not to look too hard at anything else!
