Review! Go Forth Goods XL Florence and Medium Hoffman Crossbody in Chestnut!

Today's post is all about Go Forth Goods Chestnut in the XL Florence and Medium size Hoffman. The site can be a little hard to navigate if you're not familiar with it, so I will link to the bags here. Chestnut is currently not available, as it was a limited edition color. However, they just released Rustic Pecan which is similar.

Check out my video for more mod shots.

The medium Hoffman does come with a crossbody strap, and if you would like to see more mod shots, please check out my video. I prefer carrying the Hoffman by the top handle as it looks more sleek in my opinion.

The handle drop is 5 inches, but this can be customized to 7 inches if preferred. I can barely fit the 5 inch handles over my shoulder. I definitely would not be able to do so with a thicker sweater. If you want to be able to comfortably shoulder carry this bag, definitely get the 7 inch drop handles.

Here's the XL Florence. I love the shape of this bag. It is very big on me, and more of a travel bag or if you carry a lot of things, this is for you. I don't carry a whole lot with me on a regular basis, which is why I'll probably use the Hoffman more often, but I could not stop thinking about how gorgeous this bag would look in Chestnut.

This bag also can be carried as a crossbody bag, but I really prefer top handle for this style.

Close up details

The leather on this bag is so smooth, but firm. It'll hold the shape and not sag with your things in it. I think over time, the leather will slightly soften, but not by much. I absolutely love the pull up on this leather. Pull up refers to the changes in color when the leather is bent or stretched. Absolutely beautiful leather and gives off a lived in look.

I did customize my bag and asked for a hemmed side pocket. The default setting is a zippered pocket. You can also add another pocket on the other side if you want. This is one of the reasons why I love Go Forth Goods. Being able to customize your bag is such a game changer. I wish more companies would offer this. The downside is, these bags are made to order and final sale. The turnaround time is 20 business days. It's about a month wait from the time you place the order to when it ships. The best thing to do is to order the bag and forget about it. That way when it arrives it's like a surprise!

😍

This leather does show scratches and marks, but I think because of the color variation and pull up, any mark will blend in nicely for that lived in look. I can't wait to see what these bags will look like in 10 years. For the Hoffman, I asked for an outside hemmed pocket. I love to slip my phone in there for quick and easy access.

The handles on the Hoffman's fall out to the side, which the Florence handles do not do. You can "train" the Florence handles to do this, but it does take some time. The opening for both bags is approximately 12 inches wide. The zipper teeth are on the larger side than what I'm used to and also stiffer to use, but I am told that eventually the zipper will break in and smooth out over time. I could also add some wax over the zipper teeth, but I need to order some.

Go Forth Goods offer really affordable bags and the average cost of my Go Forth Goods bags are around $300 each. Right now they are still having their 30% off sale but it ends on the 31st. I definitely think these bags are worth the money, especially since they are life time guaranteed.

Did you really think I only had two Chestnut bags? I have one more! This is the small handleless Jane. It's really cute and I have it paired with a Fount Guitar Strap. I think it works. I'll have a review coming up on this style soon. That's it for me! Hope you all have a fantastic Monday!

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...
