Fit Review! Madewell Space-Dyed Maysfield Cardigan Sweater & Space-Dye Dodworth Pullover Sweater

 


How is everyone doing? I can't believe we're closing in on the end of January already. I haven't shopped at Madewell in a really long time. I decided 2021 should be the year of fun, since 2020 was miserable. I was looking for some colorful sweaters to brighten things up and these two space dye pieces caught my eye. 

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically a size 4 in Lululemon tops, in Madewell this translates to size XXS.

It turns out, Madewell runs large. I wasn't sure if I would fit the XXS when I placed my order, but there was plenty of room in this pullover sweater. The fit is boxy, and slightly cropped in the front and longer in the back. This is a light weight wool sweater blend . The sleeve length is just a little too long, but not awful. I really loved the gorgeous colors of this sweater, but found the wool to be very itchy and staticky. I didn't want to have to wear a long sleeve shirt underneath this, so I ended up returning this much to my dismay as it is super cute. 


Next up, I fell in love with the autumn colors of this cardigan. It also reminded me of Mr. Rogers who I loved to watch as a kid. I'm also wearing size XXS and love the cut and fit.

This cardigan is slightly oversized and the sleeves are a nice length. I am happy to say this merino wool sweater is not itchy at all. I love the pockets and the coloring of this cardigan. I ended up keeping this one. It's currently sold out, but the style is still available in heathered colors.



I love how comfy this sweater is. The length offers full coverage in the back and a little shorter in the front. I'm looking forward to wearing this during my Zoom meetings. 😆 Madewell is having a major sale right now, I saw some pieces for 80% off. Definitely worth checking out if you're a petite size, lots of XXS left.

    I love the colors of both sweaters! Interesting that one is itchy and the other not. I really like how the sweater pullover looks on you, but the bottom line is it has to be comfortable. Itchiness is definitely a deal breaker!

    The cardigan looks a tad big in my opinion but it does look so comfy! The colors are really pretty!

    I love the ombre effect of both sweaters! They remind me of sunset. I especially like the cardigan for the warm fall colors.

Review! Balenciaga Rodeo Bag Size Small Plus Video

  You all know I love my bags, and as a Balenciaga collector, I don't often stray from the City and First style. The Rodeo (pronounced like Rodeo Drive) really caught my eye. It gives off a slouchy Hermes Kelly vibe, but way more practical to use.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall. Balenciaga Rodeo Bag Small The Rodeo can be carried a few ways. It comes with a crossbody strap that is not adjustable but it is removable. Not sure why anyone wouldn't add a few extra holes to make a strap adjustable these days. Come on Balenciaga! Do better! The top handle is a bit too long for this to work anyhow, I feel like the top handle gets in the way. It sticks out and doesn't sit well in my opinion. I wouldn't carry this bag crossbody unless it was an unforeseen emergency and I really needed my hands free. This bag looks more chic carried by the handle or crook of the arm. Fit Review Friday! Allbirds Tree Glider
