New Releases Week of January 27th 2026

Today's drop is very Valentine's Day focused. Lots of pinks and reds. Not really my cup of tea. This might have been the easiest No-Buy Challenge so far. I've been so focused on the move, I haven't had much time to really look at things. Four days to go, but I think I will have to break it because Go Forth Goods is discontinuing one of my favorite leathers on January 31st. 😢 I'm going to place a last minute order with them. In other news, Vuori price increases have arrived. My favorite Vuori Performance joggers are now $110 as is the Halo Modern Hoodie. More details below!

How is everyone doing on their No-Buy, Low-Buy Challenge?

(This is cute, but so cropped though.)

(I like this, but not the logo on the front.)

(Why is this $74?!)

(Okay so this isn't new, but I want to point out that the price went up from $98 to $110.)

(Price is now $68 from $64 I believe.)

(Price increase from $94 to $110!)

New From Frank & Eileen

(My favorite jacket from F&E!)

(Wow, I am in love!)

  1. Hi Leslie,
I didn’t make it to the end of the challenge and bought the Always Effortless Jacket in gorgeous Twig before it was completely sold out. Most sizes are still available on the U.S. site so you should be able to get one after the January No Buy Challenge. :)

Not a fan of red but I’m okay with some pinks. I prefer Athleta’s Blush to LLL’s Porcelain Pink.

Everything is getting so expensive and I’m sure retail sales will be badly hit.

    1. Hi Andrea! Do you love the AEJ in Twig? I'm still debating between the Wunder Puff vest or the AEJ... I'm happy I have so many of Vuori's joggers. They should last me a long long time so I don't have to get anymore. But given the increase in prices in pretty much everything these days I just have to be more picky about my purchases.

    2. I love both my Wunder Puff Jacket and AEJ in Twig. :) Why don’t you order both the AEJ and Wunder Puff Vest to see which one you like better in person? The vest is really cute but the AEJ might be more versatile for your weather.

    3. That's a good idea, I am hoping they're both still available when the challenge is over. If one of them sells out in my size, then I won't have to chose! LOL.

  2. Oh, I'm jealous of you, Andrea! I didn't snag the AEJ in Twig, and I have regrets. I sure hope they release more items in that color!

My January was the opposite of no-buy, but I'm going to reign it in in February. My last order before my ban is the Define Mesh-Back Jacket. I know the sleeves will be too long, but it's so cute! And I'm so glad the sizing is still numeric for it :)

    1. I kept checking the inventory and pulled the trigger when stock was low, Lola! Can’t believe all sizes in Twig were sold out in less than a month!

    2. Hi Lola! Good luck with your February ban! At least it's only 28 days. =) Let me know how you like the Define Mesh-Back Jacket.

  3. The Valentine's stuff is cute but not for me. I'm almost 40 and would feel a little silly wearing hearts. What is LLL's target demographic? I feel like it used to be a yogi in her 30's, but now it's just all over the place and very unclear. They give us grandpa sweaters, huge tennis collections, middle school heart details... If I didn't work there, I don't think I would pay any attention any more. It's sad because 10 years ago I used to love the functional, technical, unique designs and YOGA stuff. Where is all of that now?

    1. Hi LZ! I think Lulu is now catering towards tweens (parents have money to spend) and Gen Z. They definitely aren't targeting the Millennials anymore. We're now old and cringe. Maybe the grandpa sweaters are for us. LOL

I have been buying less and less from Lulu these days. Even though my no-buy challenge is over, my first purchase went to Banana Republic. I really love Twig and want something in that color. I'm trying to wait to see if the items I'm eyeing go on sale. I don't want to pay full price anymore... we'll see!

    2. Haha oh no, but you're right about us being the grandpa sweater targets!!

Since they ended our awesome discount on sale items, I haven't bought much. It has to be really, really special now. Not much makes the cut.

    3. Ugh that sucks they ended the discount on sale items. I have a feeling people will just spend less and less especially with the new price increases. SMH. It really does have to be really special now for me to buy it.

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...
