Fit Review! Banana Republic Linen Resort Shirt and Linen Pull On Ankle Pant Plus LABUBU Unboxing Video!

Hey everyone! Have you guys heard of the latest craze? LABUBU bag charms? I have a fun unboxing video at the end of this post, if you want to take a gander. For today's post, I am showcasing a linen outfit from Banana Republic. They have a very nice linen collection for this season.

For reference I am 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size XS and PXS in Banana Republic tops and bottoms.

I was looking for a short sleeve linen top that I can throw over a tank for summer and found the perfect one! This top is so light and airy - perfect for hot and humid weather. Surf Spray Green is a very light mint green. It is slightly sheer. It's currently on sale for $49.99.

I have already worn this top out and would love to add another color to my wardrobe. I'm hoping the other colors go on sale. Black and White would be my second and third choice.

I'm wearing size XS and it is slightly oversized with mid length sleeves for extra coverage. The linen feels very soft and is perfect for a lightweight layering piece. I'm very pleased with this top!

Next, we have the Linen Pull On Pant. I'm wearing size Petite XS. The inseam measures 25 inches long and they look great paired with sandals and a tank top. Petite XS fits true to size.

These linen pants are super light weight and very comfortable, but they do attract a lot of lint, especially on the dark brown color. They're wide leg and taper down just a smidge at the ankle.

The waistband is very stretchy and pulls over my hips easily. There is a drawstring to customize the fit, but since the waistband is very stretchy it is more for decoration. They do wrinkle easily, which is the other drawback. In the end, I decided to return the pants. That's it for me! Let me know what you think of these two linen pieces and don't forget to take a look at my LABUBU video. 😂

  1. I like the minty color of the shirt. I feel like the shirt itself has a '70's vibe about it (in a good way!). The pants, however, are a meh for me. I like that the inseam is perfect, but because the linen wrinkles so easily, it makes them look a little sloppy. I think the darker color makes the wrinkles look more prominent too. That is precisely why I don't own any linen pieces - I'm waaaay too lazy to steam/iron things :)

I loved your husband's little chime-in in your LABUBU video, lol! I've never heard of them before, and they're not my cup of tea, but I get the appeal of collectibles like that.

    1. Hi Lola! Yeah the wrinkles are annoying. I have a hand steamer that I use all the time for my linen pieces. But they really are the best things for humid hot weather!

HA yeah he hates them. Thinks they are so ugly! I think they're cute but I also like all sorts of dolls. He has them banned from the bedroom LOL.

    2. She likes all these creepy things and all I want to do is sleep in peace without weird eyes looking at us. It was so bad when she was collecting Fugglers.

    3. Ha ha ha! I agree, Fugglers are creepy! It's the teeth....

  2. I hate ironing and never iron my linen items. ^_^ They are going to wrinkle anyway lol!

I only learnt about Labubu dolls recently and love the story behind the creation. A new store just opened in a nearby mall selling dolls and a Labubu charm like the ones you unboxed costs over Canadian dollars $65 after tax! How much are they selling in the U.S..

These dolls are expensive but if I have to get one for myself, I want the first (grey) one you unboxed. <3

    1. Hi Andrea! I hear you, but the sleeves are so wrinkly, I have to iron them! I try to get a few wears before I wash them again. I just iron once when they are dry to get those sleeves looking good.

Wow! My friend bought these from Pop Mart. They are always sold out tho, too popular now, but she was able to buy them for $22. And sold them to me for the same price. I bought the fake brown one off Ebay and it cost $44! But I really wanted the brown one. It's the rare one and the real version goes over $100. So crazy.

    3. Thanks for the link, Leslie! I checked the Pop Mart Canadian site and most Labubu items are sold out! I’m willing to pay under Canadian dollars $30 for the charm but not $65+! ^_^

  3. I am loving all the linen! I find if I take it out of the dryer right away and hang it up, the wrinkles aren’t too bad. Then I just wear it and embrace the inevitable wrinkles.

    1. I had one linen shirt that I threw in the dryer and it shrunk so much, now I am afraid to put my other linens in the dryer. Have you experienced any shrinkage?

    2. The Athleta linen states you can dry on a cool cycle. So I dry on a cool/delicate cycle and haven’t had a problem.

    3. Ah, I have an air fluff setting. I wonder if that would work. I'll give it a try!

  4. Question for you about Banana Republic, do you think their quality has increased? Recently, I heard that Banana Republic and Gap stepped up their game in clothing quality, as well as prices. The labubu craze has definitely hit the SF Bay Area, but I have too many other addictions as is, so can't add any more. Haha

    1. Hi Jean L! I think it really has. I went to their store over the weekend and was really surprised how they have revamped their image. It's like they went back to their roots. I really like it. I've gotten a few pieces from BR recently and have been impressed with their linen and cotton. Seems to be higher quality. You'll probably see some more BR reviews from me lately. I have not been to a Gap store in a while though.

Hah! Yeah the Labubu thing is really out of hand at the moment. They are everywhere!

  5. So great to find someone who is my height! I wondered and I sincerely hope you don't mind me asking but approximately what is your weight? I was going to order some Mother Jeans and wasn't sure which size to get. I see you got 27 and they look amazing on you. I'm in Canada so ordering and returning is often challenging. Thanks so much!

    1. Hi there, I float around 102-105 lbs. Make sure to look at the stretch level. The ones I bought are pretty stretchy. So if you can pull them on and button them up, it is the right size. They will feel very tight, but they stretch out. I avoid the ones that are rigid. Hope that helps!

  6. Amazing, thank you so much for your reply! I appreciate your suggestions regarding the stretch level and being able to do them up, great advice, thanks again!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Review! Balenciaga Rodeo Bag Size Small Plus Video

You all know I love my bags, and as a Balenciaga collector, I don't often stray from the City and First style. The Rodeo (pronounced like Rodeo Drive) really caught my eye. It gives off a slouchy Hermes Kelly vibe, but way more practical to use.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall. Balenciaga Rodeo Bag Small The Rodeo can be carried a few ways. It comes with a crossbody strap that is not adjustable but it is removable. Not sure why anyone wouldn't add a few extra holes to make a strap adjustable these days. Come on Balenciaga! Do better! The top handle is a bit too long for this to work anyhow, I feel like the top handle gets in the way. It sticks out and doesn't sit well in my opinion. I wouldn't carry this bag crossbody unless it was an unforeseen emergency and I really needed my hands free. This bag looks more chic carried by the handle or crook of the arm. It also looks nice left open with the help of the flap tucked in. The Rodeo resembles the Kelly bag ...

Fit Review Friday! Allbirds Tree Glider

Hi everyone! I'm posting from New Orleans. I'm hitting up a Lululemon while I'm here. I always like to visit other Lululemon stores when I'm traveling. I was planning on having an Aviator Nation review for you guys but Hurricane Helene threw my plans out the window. So I will try and have it up when I get back to Atlanta. In the meantime, here's an Allbirds review.  For reference my street size is 5.5. I'm usually a 5.5 in Allbirds, but for the Tree Gliders they run large. I took these in a size 5. Definitely size down. I've partnered up with Allbirds! Super excited to share my  personal link . Click on  my link  for a 15% off. Or use my Code  PETITEIMPACT15 Tree Glider Natural White Beige/Blizzard Sole  Size 5 I went to visit the Allbirds store in Avalon and got to try these on in person. I love how they use their shoe laces as the handle to carry the shoe box. It's really cool and love how sustainable they are. Even the packaging is well thought ou...
