Petite Impact

  How is everyone doing? I can't believe we're closing in on the end of January already. I haven't shopped at Madewell in a really long time. I decided 2021 should be the year of fun, since 2020 was miserable. I was looking for some colorful sweaters to brighten things up and these two space dye pieces caught my eye.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically a size 4 in Lululemon tops, in Madewell this translates to size XXS.  Space-Dye Dodworth Pullover Sweater Size XXS (Currently sold out.) It turns out, Madewell runs large. I wasn't sure if I would fit the XXS when I placed my order, but there was plenty of room in this pullover sweater. The fit is boxy, and slightly cropped in the front and longer in the back. This is a light weight wool sweater blend . The sleeve length is just a little too long, but not awful. Happy Friday! First week of January is over, and what a week it was. I've got a couple of new items for review. One of them is by request. Hope you enjoy reading and let me know what you think! For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically a size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.  Cool Racerback Nulu Race Length   Diamond Dye Graphite Gray Size 6 I'm normally a size 4 in tanks but for the Cool Racerback I like to size up to a 6 because of how fitted it is. The fabric is the buttery Nulu which I personally love. I've never tried the race length before in any of Lululemon's tops and I am loving it! Normally the CRB is super long on me. If you're interested to see the difference in length, I have a review of the regular  CRB here . It is really long on me. I think it's the perfect length. The length measures 19 inches from the top to bottom. Definitely a keeper and I think if you're petite, give it a try! Price is a somewhat reasonable at $48. I wish

I usually like to do New Year's resolutions but 2020 made all of that seem moot. I think being healthy, happy, and staying sane until we see Covid free days is all we can hope for. Be kind to yourself. Cut yourself some slack. Be nice to others. 2020 was a year where I was still able to exercise at home. I'll continue to do so and hopefully I'll get a little stronger this year.  My loungewear exploded. I replaced all of my bras which was pretty expensive. Looking at my spreadsheet I spent about $5,000 at Lululemon and probably close to $2,000 at Athleta in 2020. That's kind of nuts considering I spent $3000 total on both brands in 2019, which is a much more reasonable amount. I think for 2021, I want to be extremely selective on what I add to my closet this year. It has to be something I need, or needs to be replaced or just something very special.  I would also like to declutter just a little bit. I'll start donating/selling some of my things.   I hope everyone enjoyed Christmas Day and got to spend some time with your family, even if it's over Zoom, which is what I did! My family all opened our presents and did a little show and tell. It was really kind of cute and fun. I really hope next year I can do it again but in person!  So I know, I really need a haircut- again. I am bugging my husband to give me a trim. So hopefully soon!
