First off, Happy Valentine's Day! Also Happy Friday! I know this post isn't my normal fit review Friday, but I do hope you enjoy this review of ThirdLove. When I wrote about KonMari-ing my closet, there was one photo where my drawer contained only two bras. Yes that's right, two bras! I got rid of all of my bras and had to start over. So what changed? Lately my bands have been feeling very tight and I decided I needed to get a bigger band, which meant I had to look for new bras. I used to buy bras from Victoria's Secret and stocked up on a ton, thinking I would stay that size forever. Lesson learned there! Do not hoard bras. I decided after reading an article on ThirdLove I would give them a try since they offer free shipping and returns over $50.
This bra company guarantees the fit and customer satisfaction. Their return/exchange policy is seriously the best I have come across in a long time. If the bra arrives and it doesn't fit, the exchange is very easy. You will be asked a few questions on how the bra fits and they will recommend a new size. Once you agree to the new size they will send a pre paid label to you by email. Once your package is scanned, they will ship out the new size, which cuts down on the waiting period. If you decide not to do an exchange and simply want to return the bra, they will still give you pre paid label, but won't refund your money until the bra is received back at their warehouse, which is fair. Also ThirdLove will give you 60 days to try out the bra. If you're not happy for any reason, they will take it back.
I actually have returned and exchanged two bras and everything went smoothly. That said, I still only have four bras right now. I kept one Victoria's Secret bra that still fit. It's a strapless bra, which doesn't really count since I never wear a strapless bra. I now have three new ThirdLove bras. I have two Seamless Lounge Bras and one 24/7 Classic Contour Plunge Bra. I will say this, the Seamless Lounge Bra is super comfy. It's so comfy that I wear them to work. I really don't care it's a lounge bra. At first the straps felt a little scratchy to me, but I think it's from having dry winter skin. The straps took a little trial and error to get them tightened just right. Once I figured out the correct length, the bra straps did not fall down.
Here is what came with my new bras.
I went from a 32A to a 34AA. This company also has half size cups!! I think that's pretty amazing. My only complaint is not having as many selections for size 34AA. Although, Victoria's Secret only has one bra to choose from for size 34AA, whereas ThirdLove has eight styles offered, so I really can't complain too much.
Here's a question, how many of you put your bra on this way? I actually do, but a lot of women apparently hook the bra first from the front and then swivel it around.
The color is so pretty and I do love the gold hardware. The tiny little logo on the front is not tacked down and does flip up but seems to stay down once the bra is being worn. I haven't had an issue so far, but I can see it coming off in the washing machine. The pads are memory foam and removable. As far as comfort goes, I give it a 10/10 which is an amazing score for an underwire bra. I really can't find any faults with this one. The fit is perfect for me. I'm definitely going to order another one.
Here is my favorite, the Seamless Lounge Bra. This is a wireless bra that also has removable padded inserts. Comfort wise I give it a 9/10. I took a point off because I do think the straps could be softer. They remind me of grosgrain ribbon. I fit a size small in the lounge bra. I have this bra in heather gray and twilight.
ThirdLove also has a tiered loyalty program called Hooked Rewards. It's free to join and once you spend $250, you get special offers and free seamless underwear with a purchase. If you spend $450 you're considered a Devotee. All customers get a special bundle discount but a Devotee gets you deeper discounts.
I have washed both bras in a mesh laundry bag and lined dry. I'm super happy with my new bras, which leads me to question, how many bras does one need? Technically I can probably get by with three/four bras as long as I do laundry every week. How many bras do you have?
If you would like to try ThirdLove, I would really appreciate it if you used my referral link. If you do, you'll receive $15 off your first order and I'll receive $15 to use towards a future purchase and since I'm in dire need of a couple more bras it would make my day. 😊
In other news, I am never going to see the sun again. This dreary rainy weather is making it super hard for me to do my photoshoots. It's the main reason why there hasn't been a proper fit review Friday.
That's it for me! Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.
I went through the same as you, only my girls changed from C to D. Also, a while back my band size changed, is it possible rib cages can expand? I’m certain that happened to me. Just like you I hoarded bras and then had to get rid of them. Now I have three neutral bras and three black. I’m happy with that number. The nice thing about bras is they are easy to hand wash, so in a pinch you don’t have to do a whole load of laundry.
ReplyDeleteHmmm I wasn't entirely sure if your rib cage can expand so I googled it! Apparently certain exercises can enlarge the muscles that surround the area. So that may be what's happened to us.

I know I've changed my exercise routine over the last year and incorporated heavier weights. So that could be it.
So your number is 6 bras. That sounds about right!
Actually, I was going to skip your post this time cuz I wasn’t interested in # of bras. So I’m sitting here this morning, coffee, breakfast, nothing to read, I opened your post and was excited to see a review on thirdlove!! I have been wondering about that brand for awhile. Great reading, great review! Might have to order! Will definitely use your referral link too! Thanks, glad I opened your post this morning :))
ReplyDeleteAh I guess maybe I should change the title to incorporate ThirdLove review. But I'm glad you didn't skip my post! =D
DeleteI have 8 bras (not including athletic - which is way more than 8). 2 neutral underwire, 2 t-shirt (padded) underwire in neutral and black, 1 strapless, 1 convertible and 2 loungewear ones for around house or on an overseas plane trip. The convertible is very useful in summer with different type of tank tops - none of which seem to be the same. AGREE ON RAIN! I live in Atlanta too and I am so over it....but looks like 2 or 3 more weeks of rain.
ReplyDeleteYep I just checked the weather app and rain all the way for another 10 days for us. =(
DeleteIt is strange but my FTBW bras still fit, I guess they have much better stretch? But then again I'm also not wearing them all day and they do not have underwire.
I was just reading an article about ThirdLove myself, when I saw your post! I too am finding that the four bras I have in rotation aren't fitting like they used to, so I decided to check ThirdLove out. I really like that they help you decide what size you should order, and I almost bought one of their t-shirt bras. However, the shipping/duty charges to Canada stopped me dead in my tracks. It ended up being too pricey for me to pull the trigger :(. Thanks for the review though! I love the twilight shade of the one you got!
ReplyDeleteAw that's disappointing they charge shipping to Canada. Maybe some day they will have a warehouse in Canada if they expand!
DeleteI really want to like Third Love, but I can't wear wires. They only have a couple wireless bras and they're not what I'm looking for. :( It's a shame because I really want to like the brand! Maybe someday I'll work up the "courage" to try wires again.
ReplyDeleteI keep between 4-6 bras. I find that's perfect for me. I wear one each day to work and typically wear sports bras (eg, free to be serene) on the weekends. :)

DeleteMaybe drop them a message to see if they will make a wireless bra in the future. If enough people request it, you never know they may do it.
DeleteSo it seems like most people have between 4-8 bras. That seems like a good range!
