Fit Review Friday! Stopover Jacket & Define Jacket

Happy Friday! I managed to stop by the store again and tried on a couple of things. This new scatter blossom pattern caught my eye because of the jacquard texture. The deep crimson red and texture really elevates this Define Jacket. I tried on my usual size 4 in Define Jackets. This one in particular is very fitted with not a lot of give or stretch. I would actually prefer to size up because it felt that tight.

I didn't take too many pictures wearing the Define Jacket since it's a staple item. Moving on! Next I have a review of the Stopover Jacket that was requested by one of my readers, I forget who, sorry! This is for you!

I'm wearing my normal size 4. This is very fitted. It's very tight and a bit uncomfortable really. It looks fine, but I would recommend sizing up. The fabric is very smooth and shows every lump and bump you have! That said, the fabric feels like buttah. It's the softest thing I have ever felt at Lululemon. I'm not even kidding. I'm so tempted to buy it but in a larger size.

See all the lumps and bumps?

The back cinches in at the waist.

This is definitely petite friendly. It hits at the hips nicely. The sleeves are SUPER long though. I am scared that if I size up, it would just be ridiculous, I mean they almost hit my knees at this point. I would say to get the sleeves hemmed, but you would lose the thumbhole feature.

Why are the sleeves soooooo long?

When the jacket is unzipped the back of the jacket flares out almost like a peplum style. I also like the double layer detail at the bottom. It's a super cute jacket. The lunar rock color is a great neutral. I would describe it as a gray with light purple undertones.

I can't stop thinking about this jacket, but do I try the size 6? What do I do about the super long sleeves? Is there anyway to keep the thumbholes and shorten the sleeve? The fabric is soooooo soft you guys, you need to touch it to know what I'm talking about!

That's all for me! I'm so happy it's Friday! This week has been exhausting!

  1. I bought the Stop over jacket in Black. I also sized up from my normal size 6 to 8 because I wanted to be able to layer underneath.
The sleeves - you can pull back the portion with the thumbhole into the inside of the sleeve. I have a North face jacket that has the same thumbhole configuration. I love the jacket - it so soft!

    1. I guess I will have to order it in size 6 and see if that works for me. It is sooooo soft and cute too. Thanks for the suggestion!

  2. The stopover jacket is so pretty on you!I love that colour but I suspect I'd be too pale to wear it well.

About the sizing, it seems Lululemon is way over the place lately. :( Which I'll interpret as good as I'm not more fearful about ordering from WMTM ;) :)

    1. Yes Lululemon sizing isn't always consistent. I almost never order from WMTM unless i'm confident it will fit me.

  3. That jacket looks great on you! I have to go check out that material! I don’t need any more jackets and have lost interest in LLL lately. The AllBirds arrived today! My grandma needed a size up cause of her bunion and my TTS was perfect. I don’t need new shoes yet but when I do I’m gonna get a pair! The fit is so comfortable. I haven’t walked around in them, simply just tried them on.

    1. Yay for Allbirds! I wear mine every weekend. They're so comfortable. I can't wait for you to get your own pair! Hope your grandma loves them as much as I do. =)

  4. Saw the Stopover Jacket in store today and agree that it’s soft like butter! I however also agree that that the jacket shows every lump and bump which is not a nice thing. :)

Lunar Rock is so pretty on you and definitely size up and see how it feels and looks. Size 4 is too tight and the pockets are open when the jacket is zipped. Just wonder how size 6 will look in the back when unzipped, cos it might flare out too much at the bottom. Anyway, give it a try and let us know if you like it!

    1. My next order I'll get a size 6 and see how it is. I'm eyeing a bunch of stuff from Athleta right now, so I may hold off on the Stopover Jacket for now. Holiday shopping is about to commence! I can't wait to see the black Friday deals this year. =)

We tried HelloFresh for the past two months - Here's our review

Hi everyone! This post is written by my husband. Some of you may know he does all the cooking around here. 😅 We noticed we were spending a lot of money on food and eating out every month and wanted to see if a meal kit service would save us money and time. After looking at a few meal kit services we settled on HelloFresh. Without further ado, here's Jared's review. (Original post date Aug 2022). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As you may have seen from Leslie's Instagram stories for the past 2 months, we've been using HelloFresh for most of our meals. The main drivers for this were to better track what we eat and because on the advice of my doctor, I should be eating more home cooked meals. Before I go any further, it should be noted that my original career path was in culinary arts, but twists and turns in life changed that. So I do have formal cooking experience. A little background story. Over the years, I've developed
